PERCY'S POV

Annabeth and I decided to meet up. A horrible decision, really. She snuck out of the girl's dormitories, and I snuck out of the boys'. Really simple, too, because all of the boys snore like pigs. I can hear them even when they're in a separate rooms from me. Luckily, I've got one all to myself.

I snuck around the corner and--- Run into someone. Immediately, I scramble into the shadows, hopefully to avoid notice. Then I noticed the thick mass of curly blonde hair.

"You're not Nico, dumbass," Annabeth groaned. "Gods, you've got a thick head."

I reached out a hand and pulled her up.

"Soooo... how are your roommates?" I asked.

"Ugh, two of them tried to give me a swirly," Annabeth complained enthusiastically. She had a large grin plastered on her face.

I smiled. "And how'd that go?"

"I don't know, you'll have to ask the toilet," she joked lamely. I can't help but smirk at her.

"You the queen bee now?" I asked.

"Seems like it," she replied. We walked downstairs and outside to the botanical gardens where we found a bench and sat down. We sat in comfortable silence. Do you ever wonder," she began, "what happened to everyone. I mean, Zoe, Silena, Beckendorf, and everyone else? I mean, we know for a fact Bianca chose rebirth and Luke wanted Elysium, but everyone else...."

I nodded at her. I did wonder. All the time. But I know for a fact that they didn't deserve to die. They were young--- All of them, with full lives ahead of them, and they shouldn't've had to choose where they wanted to go after they died.

"We just have to assume that they're happy. Well, happier then being demigods, that is," I murmured with a kiss to her forehead. She leaned her head on my shoulder and sighed contentedly.

I wrapped my arms around her shoulders. This is how I wanted to be. I wanted to be happy, with our own home, the rest of the seven, and Nico, Thalia, Reyna, everyone, coming to visit us. I wanted a future with Annabeth, and not the future that involved us running around solving the gods problems.

"...Yep, it's just three dollars," said someone rounding the corner.

"For ten pieces of candy?" Another voice exclaimed.

"Dude, you have a king size candy bar, which rounds up to a dollar fifty since I'm being nice, and the nine pieces of candy is just gonna be a dollar fifty too. Unless you want me to up the price?" Footsteps rounded the corner.

I blanched when I saw who it was. It was me, smaller, skinnier, and broke. The other person, was Jack Lorence. For some reason, I remembered this moment. I knew what was about to happen, and I winced in sympathy for my younger self.

Maybe I could stop it from happening.

"Annabeth, my younger self is about to be punched and robbed," I said.

"What happens after that?"

"I--- well, Lydia Thompson buys me a bunch of new candies in sympathy," I said. "And I make a lot of money... I can't help him, can I?"

Annabeth shook her head sadly. I looked back at the scene in front of me. Jack's arm swings back, coming forward and hits my younger self. Child me flies a few feet before landing. Jack picks up all of his candy, and even mini me's wallet that had been strewn about, before running off.

My jaw clenched. I wish there was something I could do.

My girlfriend shoot up off the bench towards mini me in a panic. I follow her closely behind. Young Percy groans and rubs his cheek. He saw Annabeth running towards him and stood immediately, a blush coating his cheeks. I grinned. Even at a young age he thought older Annabeth was pretty.

"Hey, business partner," he joked as he brushed his pants off. Annabeth grabbed mini me's chin and looked for injuries. It was hilarious to see their height difference. I was a midget. And Annabeth's concern was oddly cute.

"Does this happen a lot?" She asked as she took a step back.

"Hm," he said, faking a contemplative look. "Yes. It's not unusual. And it's nothing, really, it just means I don't get to eat for a while."

Annabeth looked at me in horror. She loved to eat and she always hated skipping a meal. (She only does it when she has too, but when she doesn't....)

"HEY! YOU THREE! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING!" Coming around the corner of the building was a fat security guard with a donut in his hand.

"....And we're caught," mini me commented.

"Nice of you to notice," I replied. I picked up past version of me and hefted him over my shoulder before taking off running.

"DUDE! Put me down!"

"Do you want to get away or not?"

Mini me shut up instantly. I felt him cross his arms against my back. Annabeth cursed beside me. Another guard was rounding the opposite corner. She shoved open a random door and all three of us ran inside. Luckily for us, we were in a completely empty wing.

We gathered our breath. Mini me turned towards me with an accusatory glare. I chuckled. His glare would be so much worse in a few years. Oh the horror.

"Who. Are you?"

"P-" Annabeth elbowed me. "Ajax Papadopoulos."

"Jesus, that's a real last name?" Annabeth choked. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes."

He turned on Annabeth who was struggling to breath from laughing. "Ah, Ajax, he gets me."

"Obviously," I grumbled. "You comin', wise girl? I'm tired."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "See you tomorrow, little dude." She ruffled his hair. He swatted her hand away and scowled before turning and heading back to the middle school's boys dormitories.

"Mini you is amazing," she commented as we stared at his retreating form. I gave her a small nudge.

"For some reason, I'm getting jealous." Annabeth laughed. She pulled me into a kiss before walking away.

A/N   This chapter was kind of a filler, so I'm sorry for the lack of trying. It'll get better in the next chapter. Promise.

Thank you for reading! Hopefully, I'll get more support for this book in a little while. :D
