Yaoyorozu: "Let's just go back to the dorms. Okay?"

Izuku didn't need to be told twice.

The walk was silent and the clear sky was covered in grey storm clouds. The air felt gloomy and wrong like Izuku's mood. Ever since they left the school, he's been silent. Not a single word and it was concerning. The words of his mother rang in the OFA user's head like a broken record.

>DRIP<

The rain started pouring and the future heroes brought out their umbrellas for cover except Izuku. He was walking behind them and when he felt the cold of the rain, he just simply stopped and looked at the sky. Just letting the rain soak him to the bone. Ochaco noticed him so she turned around to find him all wet and staring from the sky to the pavement.

Ochaco: "Deku, you're gonna be left behind."

The greenette didn't answer. He just simply stared at the sidewalk. The brunette walked up to him and the others noticed this.

Ochaco: "Deku, you're gonna get sick if don't cover up. Here, we can-"

He shook her off and continued walking towards UA. His unresponsive state, the silence, it was getting worrisome. Iida wanted to ask his friend something but opted to keep it to himself until they made it to the dorms. Todoroki just felt a little deja'vu with this entire thing but there was still something that he didn't understand. Ochaco reviewed their findings. First, is that Izuku can sing, second, he attends a famous performance arts school, and last, the conversation they overheard between him and his mother.

Whatever caused him to be resentful and bitter towards her must've been personal and has been going on for a long time going back to how they got along. Not to mention, the goal Inko had that Izuku mentioned very vaguely. Did she just use him to make money? And through music that he loved so much. It sounded a bit cruel to her. Then she realized, Izuku never mentioned anything about his family or his home life before the dorm system was set up.

Could it be related to the strained relationship he had with his mother?

If so, then what was the cause?

Later, they finally arrived at the dorms. Izuku just ignored his classmates and went straight for his room, still sopping wet. Katsuki just took the initiative and grabbed his collar with guns blazing.

Katsuki: "Hold it, nerd. These extras want to talk with you."

Izuku (bitterly): "Talk? Pfft. What's there left to talk about?"

This made everyone flinched, even Katsuki let go. This wasn't the Izuku they knew. He completely changed. His tone was different and his attitude... They couldn't place it but he seemed more hostile. Izuku just scoffed and left to take a bath. They didn't stop him. They simply lounge around the common space, regaining their thoughts.

Izuku's POV:

They didn't stop me after my retort. I was relieved that I got something out of my chest but I regretted it as soon as I reached the second floor. I took out my emotions out on them. Again. Once in my dorm room, I immediately took out new clothes and a towel and let myself into my bathroom to shower. As water drenched me once more, I thought back about my conversation with mo- Inko and about the college in Tokyo. No way in hell, am I going to do what she says when I have a brighter future ahead of me.

Anger fuelled me and I punched the wall to my left almost making it crack from the impact. I regained my composure and went on with my well-deserved shower. When I was done and fully clothed, something stopped me from going out my dorm and apologizing to my classmates. It was a framed photo of Inko holding me as a baby. I always kept it on my desk but I only kept it to keep up the facade of a student with a loving mother. Again, my anger rose to the surface. I picked up the photo and deliberately threw it to the wall, breaking the glass protector in the process.
