3. Marriage Confirmed

Somehow I am relaxed that he also don't want this marriage. But how I can rejects this marriage. My father will kill me.

Aren't mens are brave enough to do what they want. But why can't he to this simple thing.

Arggh I forgot that his mother was also here standing in front of me. What will she think of me for ignoring her for straight 2 minutes.

"Sorry dear" she said with awkward smile.

I was taken back at that and confused why she is asking me sorry.

Seeing my confused face she said " I said sorry for his behaviour towards you" and now I understand she overheard our conversation.

Now I am nervous what if she tell my father about my denial towards this marriage. But also she heard him too but she looked very calm that means she knew about her son's decision.

My chain of thought disturbed when she started speaking.

She took my hand in her hands and said
"Don't ask me how I know but in my heart I had a belief that you will change him and I heard about you from the marriage broker. From that time itself I made my mind that you both will be perfect as a couple. You are such beautiful girl I assure you that you will be happy with us after marriage."

I can see that she is also like my mom innocent and good heart.

I said to her that " aunty you didn't even ask my reasons for rejection"

She said, "I am not going to judge you for your reasons just tell me one thing" she looked at me I nodded my head for her to continue.

"Is that you don't want to marry him or you don't want to marry now"

I answered her " I don't want to marry at present"

I nodded my head and said softly" I want to study further and also want to go for a work"

After had me she laughed out so hard.

"Is this even a reason" laughing" I thought you would say who had any love or medical problems"
Finally slowly she calmed down.

"So you don't have any problem with this" I asked her confused.

"Why would I have any problem with that"

"But you said to my father that...."

" What I said was also a truth but If you wish to do your higher education and job we won't be an obstacles for you"

But suddenly she became serious and said" if you agree to this marriage then I want help from your side too"

She is hesitant to tell me then I encourage her to tell me " I want to you to work on your relationship with my son. Even though he is short tempered, he is a good person. Even in his childhood he is very obedient and nice boy. Because of son unfortunate events happened he became like this. He completely Last his faith in love."

She said with pleading eyes" I want you to change his mind and make him feel the love which he lost long ago. For that to happen I want you to concentrate on your relationship rather than other things. It's about a matter of a few months in your initial stages of marriage. After your relationship becomes stronger then we all have no problem with your dream."

I can see the promise in her eyes. Anyway I don't have any other option other than to marriage someone within 6 months. It's better to accept this alliance because I can fulfill my dream to even though and now but someday I can. And also the groom doesn't want this marriage but he ready to do this but why? But looks decent guy though. Even if he is a bad guy I would divorce him. That's it. For now I have to escape this hell.

And also I can't deny this to my father won't allow me as he was already happy about not want to give dowry and all. So he won't miss this opportunity.

After the deep thoughts I said to her "okay aunty I agree to this marriage"

She hugged me in her happiness and went downstairs together.

I don't know what is happening in the terrace. I came downstairs 15 minutes ago and till now they both didn't come down

I know my Amma she will definitely make her accept this alliance.

Ahhhhh now I don't have any other options rather than marry her. I thought her to be timid and shy girl but she is not cause she is talking back equally.

Suddenly evil thought came to my mind.

Though she accepts this marriage why should I feel worried about it, I can make her divorce me.

Then they both finally came down. My Amma's smile on her face tells everything that she is half a way succeeded in her mission of getting me married.

Her father asked me, "Karthik, son do you like my daughter and do you ok with this marriage"

Before I answer my mother said, "my son liked your daughter from looking at her photo itself that's why we came to see your daughter for the marriage proposal."

She lied again I last the count how many times she lied today.

And my uncle asked her the same question her father asked me.

"Mmm" she just nodded her head.

This angered me more how can she say okay to this marriage after my confession and just wait I will make your life a hell after marriage. I know she must be a gold digger who doesn't want a well settled man as a husband. And I too know my Amma's words too must have changed her decision but still I want to believe the other reason because I can see how her father was greedy when my family said no need for dowries.

Why did my Amma select her as my bride I agree she is beautiful but still I don't like those women who grabbing the opportunity of becoming rich.

Already here everyone started discussing our engagement and marriage dates and about other rituals.

When my Appa said that all the expenses for every functions are done by us. I know he is considering their financial condition being a government job employee he can't make functions granted. And I don't have any problem with this because we will do functions granted according to our status.

Her father and mother become so much happy about it. But I think her elder brother or younger brother I don't know exactly who looks like angry or upset from the beginning itself, I don't know why.

She didn't even react to that is she don't have any self respect or self dignity. Goddd!

I already hate her so much.
