Finally free

The game was about to finish, Husk had a lot of fishes and was winning.
Valentino was slowly starting to panic as he realized he was about to loose.
When Husk looked at his cards he couldn't help but smile.
He shouldn't have, but that play had been one of the most exhausting thing he ever did.
"North wind"
"Golden flush"
The cat reveled his cards and in the moment he did it, they started to become golden and a black writing appeared on them:
You won!!
"IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!"
Valentino got up and looked at Husk.
"YOU TRICKED ME!"
"You lost, accept it"

Angel was exhausted, he ran all the way back to the party and he was quickly entering in the building again.
He had just stepped in when his pink chain appeared.
The world fell out from under him.
Did Valentino win?
The pink of the chain quickly disappeared and was suffocated by a hot yellow.
"Huh?"
The chain broke in half and fell on Angel's feet.
He was free.
His neck felt normal again, he felt more lightweight, he felt alive.
When Angel looked up he saw Husk standing in front of Valentino.
"Husk!"
The cat turned around and saw the spider.
The two ran to each other and Husk instinctively jumped to hug Angel.
With open arms the tall sinner caught him and started spinning around.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
They both were giggling joyfully until Valentino interrupted them.
"HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? HENROIN TOLD ME THAT YOU WEREN'T ABLE TO PLAY ANYMORE"
"What?"
"He played with you, you lost every game, HOW DID YOU WIN?!"
Angel stiffened and Husk whispered at him:
"He doesn't know that he is your father, don't worry"
Valentino got out his gun and pointed it on Husk.
"I won't let you go away with Angel!"
A bullet made his way through the room to Husk.
That cat's wing opened trying to cover the spider to protect him, but he wasn't there.
Angel crouched and with a leg made Husk fall.
The bullet passed on his head and cut a piece of his hair.
He quickly grabbed the tall sinner's hand and ran out of the building.
But Angel was strangely slow.
"What about the others?"
"Alastor is taking them back to the hotel"
"Are you sure?"
"C'mon, now you are the one who don't trust him?"
The spider laughed and started running more fast, surpassing Husk.
He tried to reach him but his happiness was too much to contain.
He was finally free.

Back at the hotel everyone was waiting for Husk and Angel to arrive.
Charlie was still a little bit dazed, but her anxiety was quickly waking her up.
"Alastor, so did they win or not?"
"I can't tell you, you'll have to see with your eyes"
The radio demon had been suspicious for quite a while, but Charlie didn't had time to care about that thing.
The two demons stormed in the room, they didn't had any wounds but they were all messy and Angel's shoes were missing.
Charlie smiled, that scene was so similar to the return they did last time from the casino, but now they were more...close?
Husk's pupils dilated so much when he looked at Angel that Charlie couldn't even see his iride.
Some things happened in that week between them and the princess of Hell was so curious she almost forgot to ask how the play finished.
"I won, don't worry everything is fine"
Charlie jumped joyfully and started hugging everyone.
"What happened to your hair Husk?"
"Well Valentino wasn't that happy so he tried to kill me, but missed me..."
"You should get a proper haircut.
I will see what I can do"
Angel smirked at the cat and messed his hair up with a hand.
"Angel, your forgetting about our agreement"
Alastor sang that sentence and looked with a smile at them.
"What do I have to do? I did everything you asked me, it's your business if you didn't do it"
"Oh but, my friend, I did!!"
The radio demon opened a door and Vox fell out of it.
He was tied with a rope and had a rag on the mouth.
Angel smiled while the other looked terrorized at the scene.
"Does that mean...?"
"Yeah, here you go"
Alastor snapped his finger and Husk's chain broke in half.
The look that the two demons gave each other was indescribable, it was a look of gratefulness for being free.
They were finally allowed to love each other.

"Please don't cut my ear off"
"Don't worry, I won't, I'm good with these things"
Angel was cutting with scissors Husk's hair, trying to style them somehow.
Alastor was taking pictures of Vox smiling creepily.
"So...you worked with Alastor?"
For a moment the scissors stopped cutting.
"You can call it in that way, he just wanted to humiliate Vox, so I did his broadcast and when no one was looking Nifty and Alastor kidnapped him.
The radio demon promised me your freedom if everything would have gone well with my help"
"You shouldn't have..."
"Are you kidding? You're finally free"
"So are you, how does it feel Anthony?"
Angel stopped cutting, Husk knew that hearing his real name made him emotional.
"It's strange"
His voice almost sounded sad, like he missed something...or someone.
"You miss him?"
"What?"
"I should have known you still loved Valentino.
You hid me your love drink because there was him on it"
"Are you crazy?"
When Husk faced him he saw Angel's face, he was hurt and shocked at the same time.
"I-I'm sorry, forget what I said"
"Why do you talk without knowing things?"
"What-"
The two were interrupted by Vaggie and Charlie that came back with groceries.
"You two, come here and help us with this"
"Woah Husk, you look amazing with that haircut, Angel did an amazing job"
Looking at the mirror the cat saw his new hair, he really looked good.
"Angel-"
The spider smiled sadly and went to his room shouting the door.
Charlie walked to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"I don't know what happened, but you two definitely have to talk to each other"
"We just did"
"No, you need to talk about your secrets"

They were all at the table talking about random things, mostly the hotel and how to get more people to come.
Husk still hadn't talked with Angel, he had been in his room and the cat was too afraid to have a love delusion.
His love was intense and his heart wasn't ready to be broken.
Suddenly a gentle tap on his hand brought him back to reality, it was Angel.
Husk didn't see him sitting down next to him.
"Yeah?"
"I forgot to tell you, the casino needs a new owner...you might want to come back to it"
"I know that you bought it"
The spider slightly blushed.
"How?"
"You left your phone with me and Taylor sent you a message"
"It was supposed to be a surprise"
They both laughed, ignoring the urge to talk to each other.
They needed to talk about a lot of things: secrets, their feeling for each other (that was on top of the list for the importance), their future and what to do now that they were free.
They were really close and Angel's hand was still on top of Husk's one.
"You can work at my casino if you want"
