As I stirred from my slumber, the gentle sound of Rose's laughter danced through the morning air, coaxing me awake. With a contented sigh, I opened my eyes to the sight of her radiant smile, illuminated by the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. Her eyes, a mesmerizing shade of violet, sparkled with joy as I leaned in to press a tender kiss to her forehead.

"Good morning, my love," I whispered, my voice still husky with sleep. Despite the lingering grogginess, I couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at the sight of her beside me. The warmth of her presence enveloped me, banishing any remnants of drowsiness. "What has you so chipper today?" I asked, unable to resist the curiosity sparked by her infectious cheerfulness. It was her voice, sweet and melodious, that had roused me from my slumber, and I couldn't imagine a better way to wake up.

"Sorry, Kat," Rose said, her laughter bubbling like a brook, "I just woke up and realized I've been asleep for the last 8 hours. It's just so crazy to think about. I mean, this is the first time I've slept since turning." Her words carried a mixture of disbelief and amusement as she pondered the novelty of experiencing sleep as a vampire.

"I'm glad you're happy, my love. That is all I could ever wish for," I whispered, holding her closer as her smile illuminated the room. Yet, amidst the warmth of our embrace, a shadow of concern lingered. "But I think we do have a slight problem on our hands. We forgot about yesterday." As I felt her tense slightly, I tightened my embrace, knowing how anxiety could cloud her thoughts. Rose, despite her often misunderstood demeanor, was a deeply caring soul. Her worry for those she held dear was as palpable as the beating of her heart. Perhaps, it was this very concern that sometimes led others to misconstrue her as aloof or detached. Yet, in truth, her anxious nature stemmed from a place of immense love and devotion.

"I'm more than happy to spend eternity with you, Rose, but we can't just disappear. We'll have to face the rest of your family soon," I murmured, feeling her heartbeat quicken against my chest, a telltale sign of her mounting apprehension. The weight of her worries hung in the air, palpable and heavy.

"It's okay, love. Deep breaths. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, darling," I reassured her, gently brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face. As I held her gaze, I could sense the storm of emotions raging within her, each one vying for dominance. "They might freak out a little at first, but I know Esme loves you as a daughter. Emmett and Melody adore you as a sister, and Jasper sees you as family too. Alice may worry because she can't see the outcome, but her concern comes from a place of love. As for Edward, well, he may be difficult, but I won't let him come between us. And Carlisle... well, let's just say I'll do my best to navigate that situation," I said with a wry smile, trying to lighten the mood. Leaning in, I pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, a silent promise of my unwavering devotion. "No matter what happens next, Rose, I'll be with you always and forever."

Rose and I made the joint decision to brave the inevitable and return to the Cullens' abode today. We felt it was time to divulge the significant transformation that had taken place within us. As we embarked on our journey, I couldn't help but feel a surge of protective instincts towards Rose. If the Cullens expressed any dissent or discomfort with our evolution, I was resolved to shield Rose and whisk her away to the safety of my home. Thanks to the meticulous arrangement of protection wards encircling my property, I found solace in the knowledge that we would be impervious to any potential threats.

Rose took the proactive step of making a call ahead, alerting the Cullens about the imminent family meeting. However, an unforeseen hurdle emerged when we discovered Edward's unexpected reaction. His insecurities had evidently driven him to summon reinforcements from the Denali clan. Despite Esme and Carlisle's attempts to mediate and clarify the situation, the tension lingered thick in the air. The prospect of facing the Cullens with Rose's altered state filled us with apprehension, as the unpredictable dynamics of the encounter could potentially escalate beyond our control.
