I typed and retyped the message countless times, what in gods name was I supposed to say back?
After a couple errors I finally typed a message and sent."Hi :)"
Short, but effective. I pretended not to be early waiting beside my phone for a message back, to myself of course. I glanced away for a mere seconds before my gaze went at red but back to the black screen beside me.
God, was I that desperate? That desperate to talk to her? I mean sure she was pretty, but she's just a friend — if even, right?

I smile slightly at the text, what was I supposed to respond with? Oh well, I may as well just wing it!
'Why'd you give me your number?' I typed quickly, the music yet still blasting in my ears from earlier on when he'd turned up at my hotel door.
I was nervous, why was I nervous? Sure I found him attractive but like I wasn't IN love with him, right? God. This was hard. I nervously bit at my nails, awaiting some sort of response. Was I wasting my time? Probably... but I had nothing even slightly better to do than await this man's text messages.

I tap the side of my phone, typing and stopping abruptly ever couple of seconds, I'd never found it so hard to text someone before in my life.
'Yeah! Haha, just thought it would be good to have :)'
How hard was it really to text a girl? Maybe it was just I was nervous and overthinking stuff, I don't ever remember it being this hard
