"You're amazing," he whispered, his voice hoarse from exertion. "I could stay like this with you forever."
She smiled, feeling the warmth of his body against hers. "Me too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "But we should probably get some sleep."
He nodded, then leaned down to kiss her softly. Their lips lingered together for a moment, before pulling apart reluctantly. He rolled onto his back, pulling the blanket up over them both. His arm draped across her waist, their fingers still entwined.
She closed her eyes, feeling the exhaustion begin to wash over her. The room was still and quiet, save for the gentle rise and fall of their chests as they breathed in unison. As sleep finally claimed her, she felt a contentment that she hadn't experienced in a long time.
She dreamed of the way they moved together, their bodies in perfect harmony, and the way he looked at her like she was the only person in the world. When she woke up, the sun was streaming through the window, and he was already gone, leaving only the lingering scent of his cologne and the memory of their passionate embrace.
She stretched, feeling a slight ache in her muscles from their vigorous lovemaking the night before. A smile crept onto her face as she remembered how he had made her feel, wanted and desired in a way that she hadn't experienced in a long time.
Deciding to take a quick shower, she got up and padded into the bathroom. The warm water poured over her, washing away the remnants of the last night and leaving her feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. As she stood under the spray, she couldn't help but wonder if he was thinking about her too.
After drying off, she threw on one of his oversized t-shirts, feeling its softness against her skin. She paused for a moment, inhaling deeply, taking in the scent that was uniquely his. It was a strange sensation, being in his apartment, wearing his clothes, feeling so close to him even though he was gone.
She wandered into the kitchen, hoping to find some breakfast. As she rummaged through the fridge, she found a note he had left her on the door:
Dear Addie,
I hope you slept well draling. I had to go to work early but I have a surprise for you for tonight I love you.
Love,
Draco's surprise had her feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation. She glanced at the clock, noting that she still had some time before she needed to leave for her job. Deciding to make the most of it, she went back to the bedroom and crawled back under the covers. The blanket was still warm from their bodies, and she inhaled deeply, savoring the lingering scent of him.
She settled in, idly wondering what he had planned for tonight. Her mind raced with possibilities, her imagination running wild with ideas of romantic dinners and long walks on the beach. She couldn't help but feel a blush creep up her cheeks at the thought of spending another night with him.
Time seemed to slow down as she waited, and eventually, she found herself growing tired again. The exhaustion of the previous night's activities caught up with her, and her eyelids began to feel heavy. She considered taking a nap, but the thought of missing whatever it was he had planned for her tonight kept her awake.
She must have dozed off, as she was startled awake by the sound of her phone vibrating on the nightstand. She reached over and glanced at the screen, seeing that it was a text from him.
Hey, beautiful. I'm on my way to pick you up. Meet me in the lobby in ten minutes.
She smiled, replying quickly:
On my way down now. Can't wait to see what you have planned for tonight! Addie woke up with a start, realizing that she had overslept. She quickly threw on some clothes, brushed her hair, and grabbed her purse before rushing out of her apartment. As she walked to the elevator, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within her. She had a date with Draco at night, and she couldn't wait to see him again.
When the doors finally slid open, revealing Draco standing inside, she almost forgot how to breathe. He looked just as handsome as he had the night before, if not more so. He was wearing a crisp white shirt that hugged his muscular chest and a pair of dark jeans that accentuated his long legs.
"You look beautiful," he said, his voice smooth as silk. "I've been thinking about last night all day."
She smiled shyly and stepped closer, feeling the warmth of his body against hers. "Me too," she whispered, before leaning in to press her lips against his. Their kiss was slow and passionate, igniting a fire within her that seemed to spread through every inch of her being. When they finally pulled apart, he took her hand in his and led her out of the building.
The night air was cool against her skin, and she shivered slightly. "Are you cold?" he asked, pulling his jacket off and draping it over her shoulders. "There's a little place I wanted to take you. It's been on my mind since we talked about it last night."
She wrapped the jacket around herself, feeling its softness and warmth envelop her. "Where are we going?"
He smiled mysteriously and led her down a quiet side street, his long strides eating up the distance between them. They turned a corner, and she gasped as they came upon a beautiful garden, lit up with twinkle lights and filled with the scent of hundreds of flowers.
"It's beautiful," she breathed, taking in the serene beauty of the setting. "Thank you for bringing me here."
He took her hand in his and led her further into the garden, down a winding path lined with roses. As they walked, he began to tell her about the different types of flowers and their meanings, pointing out the ones he had chosen specifically for her. It was a moment she knew she would never forget.
Eventually, they came to a clearing near a small pond, where a picnic blanket had been spread out. A bottle of wine and an assortment of cheeses, fruit, and bread were already waiting for them. Draco pulled out two plush cushions from his pocket and placed them beside the blanket, gesturing for her to sit down. As she settled in, she couldn't help but marvel at the effort he had put into planning this evening.
"This is perfect," she murmured, taking a sip of the wine. The cool liquid felt wonderful against her parched throat.
He smiled, sitting down next to her and looking out over the water. "I'm glad you like it. I wanted to create a special evening just for the two of us." He reached over and took her hand in his, squeezing it. "I've been thinking about everything we talked about last night, and I want to make sure you know that I'm serious about making this work between us."
She looked into his eyes, feeling a wave of emotion wash over her. "I'm serious too, Draco," she said softly. "I've never felt this way about anyone before."
The sun began to set, painting the sky in a symphony of oranges and reds. They nibbled on the food and sipped their wine, enjoying the peacefulness of the garden. Eventually, Draco reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. His hands trembled slightly as he held it out to her. "I wanted to give you this," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I've been carrying it around with me all day."
She took the box, her heart racing with anticipation. Inside, resting on a bed of black velvet, was a beautiful ring. It was made of gold and adorned with a single, perfect diamond. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up at him.
"Will you marry me, Addie?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "Will you be my wife and the mother of my children?"
