A/N: Am in fact not dead nor on hiatus. Took a small break and that just so happened to coincide with family coming into town. But I'm back now and bring new content.

She rubbed her face as she waited outside of the launching chambers, taking only a second to check the time. The sortie she was waiting on should've been getting back at any time now, if both their timing was right and John Finn's own reports were holding their weight. And given John Finn's track record with the sort, even despite her relatively short time on base, it was safe to assume that yes, her schedule would track.

As if on an unknown schedule that even Anya didn't know, the large door of the Launching chambers began to lift from its position, alarms signaling its movement at the same time. She waited as it went through its cycle of opening before eventually, it lifted fully to the point where she could see just who was standing there.

And that came in the form of both Ise and Maryland. The two battleships looked to be discussing something in depth, given the rapt attention that they were offering one another and their words. Ise would say something, and Mary would respond in kind. It would go back and forth in small subverts and then one of them would go on an extra long statement or tangent, Anya wasn't sure which. What she knew though was that she was glad to see the battleships back, and more so than that, she knew that Maryland finally had a few days off the water aside from Fleet exercises.

She'd been so come and go the last week, Anya barely even saw her all that much. Maybe once or twice in the bedroom, but that really didn't count given that most times, she was asleep. There was hardly any time for anything else, and that wasn't even leaning towards anything explicit. Anya had barely gotten word in with her lately.

So as much as she needed to touch base with the battleship, she was just happy to have her back for a little bit.

It was only a moment or two later when Maryland's eyes seemed to stray from her conversation partner and onto that of Anya, standing by as she waited for the battleship. Something however seemed to change in the woman's gaze, because Ise followed her gaze straight to that of Anya. She took only a moment to recognize just who she was looking at before she chuckled.

"Far be it from me to stand in the way of whatever blossoming forbidden love that's growing between the two of you." She stated before offering a wave to Maryland. "I'll see you later, Maryland." She said before making to walk past Anya. "Admiral Johnson." She parted.

"Ise." Anya said in parting with a nod of the head, her arms crossed against her chest in a simple way. Maryland approached the woman slowly as they watched the battleship walk away for a time before Anya looked up to the battleship with a smile. "Happy to be off the water for a while?" She asked. The battleship watched until Ise walked out of eyesight and around the corner before she made her move.

Anya found herself surprised momentarily as the battleship stole her kiss instead of answering her, the battleship's lips pressed to her own, guided by way of Mary's hand cupping her chin. Anya made a noise before she let it continue for a moment before they pulled away at that, Anya chuckling somewhat.

"Subtle."

A small laugh.

"Sorry." Maryland answered. "But I had to."

"Of course." Anya said. "My question?"

"You asked a question?" Maryland asked.

Anya rolled her eyes at that as her hands went behind her back.

"Maryland." She nudged.

"I'm kidding." The battleship returned. "Yes, the answer to your question is yes. I'm more than ready for some nice relaxing days before my next set of sorties." She answered her.
