Mississippi took a moment to relax along side Kirishima and Hiei. Finally having a moment, the battleship watched as the Abyssal battleships in their way sank. As they did so, the Abyssals still left either kept up their attack for some hope of vengeance or made their away from the fleet, not seeing a point apparently with the loss of their battleships. This included the two Wo-Class carriers among the opposing forces as the retreated into the distance.

"Damn cowards..." Mississippi muttered, watching the carriers vanish over the horizon. "I thought Abyssals were supposed to be these fearless, terrible creations of chaos. Because that is not what I'm seeing before me." Maryland huffed in reply. Hiei only let out a small chuckle in reply as Kirshima pushed her glasses up on her nose.

"Though true that the Abyssals can be far more aggressive than what we have witnessed here Mississippi-San, it is not advisable to go looking for trouble if it is not required." Kirishima said, looking at the battleship. The New Mexico class member nodded her head, watching as the Mutsuki sisters, Amatsukaze, and Hatsuharu dealt with what remained of their destroyers. Watching the four race over the water's surface a moment, Mississippi eventually nodded in response as she looked to the two Kongou sisters, more anything than that the flagship, Hiei.

"I know, I know. Just saying. After we blew past the battleships, they kind of scattered." The battleship huffed as she watched Kitakami and Ooi put some torps into one of the remaining Abyssal light cruisers.

"This has been pretty recent activity for the Abyssals. They didn't do this a while ago. As far as I can tell, they started acting like this when your country got involved and started basing girls on Yokosuka." Haguro mused, sailing up next to the battleships. Mississippi looked to the heavy cruiser in confusion.

"My country? What do you mean?" She asked, looking at the Myoukou sister. Haguro nodded as Nachi approached the two.

"It's almost like the Abyssals are still trying to learn how to fight you American Kanmusu. Supposedly, our country had the same happenings when we started coming through. But with how spread apart your summonings are, it's almost like the Abyssals are in a constant state of confusion at your presence." She explained. Mississippi gave a slow nod at this, still trying to understand it fully.

"Really...?" She asked. Hiei nodded.

"Five, six months ago and you'd find that no Abyssal would run. Get rid of a battleship, their carriers would try that much harder to sink you. Not turn and retreat like we've seen today." She commented. Mississippi nodded as she prepared to say something, but found herself stopped short as a Corsair buzzed barely over her head, part way scaring the battleship.

"Lexington!" Mississippi yelled, wheeling around to look at the carrier. Carrier in question only shrugged, a small mischievous grin upon her features.

"SorrynotSorry!" She yelled, laughing as she did so. Saratoga, who was close by to the carrier, only gave a shake of the head, her own amusement present. But that was quickly brought to an end as Langley smacked both of them upside the head, giving the two of them a few choice words that Mississippi couldn't hear. The battleship laughed at the unfortunate luck of the two carriers.

"So, Mississippi-San, are you looking forward to the arrival of your sisters?" Haguro asked, looking up at the battleship as she sailed next to her. Mississippi nodded as she watched the horizon for any more movement from the Abyssals.

"Yeah. I wouldn't mind having New Mexico and Idaho on base with me. But I think if anyone's sisters need to come through, it should be Essex, Yorktown, and Pennsylvnia. The last of those more than anyone. Arizona's fixing to go stir crazy with how much she's waiting. And I imagine Lex and E aren't to far behind. Especially when Bristol, Ellyson, and Atlanta have received sisters out of the Gateway." She said as they sailed on. Those around her nodded in understanding as they kept their guard up.
