It was five days after the fleet had returned from sortie, August 12th.

Something was wrong.

Something... Was desperately wrong.

This was what the oldest of the four fast battleships had decided in all of her glory.

Something was wrong.

And she was going to find out what.

"What's she doing, DESU?" Kongou asked, watching as her unknowing victim continue to read quietly.

"I do not know, Oneesama. I do not know...." Hiei replied as she looked around the corner along with her older sister, her gaze finding the same figure that Kongou had spied as well.

"She appears to be reading, Oneesama. But on what subject, I do not know...." Kirishima supplied to the conversation. Kongou stared on in absolute focus, attempting to figure it out.

The three Fast Battleships were currently outside of Houshou's Cafe, peeking through the windows as they observed their target, in a stealth like fashion.

"What could she possibly be up to?" Kirishima asked, watching their target along with her two older sisters.

Their target in question? The one they were observing so quietly?

The third of the Kongou Class, Haruna.

It had started when the three awoke that morning to find that their fourth member had vanished, not in her bed like every other morning. And despite the endless energy the Kongou class was known for, Haruna's absence set off alarm bells within their minds.

It had sent the three Fast Battleships into a flurry on Kongou's orders. That soon included the three scouring the base in search for their sister, looking high and low, in all corners of Yokosuka.

Their search was finally put to an end when Atlanta had found Hiei trying to search through the American Carrier's room. That's when they were informed that Haruna was at Houshou's, seemingly invisible to the three Fast Battleships.

That's where they now found themselves, standing outside Houshou's as they watched their sister, the latter seemingly oblivious to their presence as she continued to read the book she was so engrossed in, taking notes from time to time. The Fast Battleship smiled to herself as she wrote another piece of info down before looking back into the book, once again reading.

The three fast battleships craned their necks in all which ways, trying to get a peek at what their sister was finding so amusing. All the while, the various girls inside the Cafe besides Haruna watched the three Kongou sisters like they were insane.

Which may not be that far off on some days.

The three continued to watch, ignoring the stares that were directed their way as they continued to observe.

They watched as Langley, currently not wearing her NWU's, approached their sister, a cup of tea within her hands. Carefully setting it down on the table, the three gazed upon them as Langley said something to Haruna. Giving a nod, Haruna looked up at the carrier as she responded. Giving a smile in return, Langley gave one last nod. With that, Haruna returned her attention to her reading as Langley turned to return to the counter. But found herself stopped in confusion when she laid eyes on the other three Kongou sisters.

Prepared to get Haruna's attention to this, she stopped when she found the Kongou sisters frantically shaking their heads at the idea. Taking one last look at Haruna, the American carrier promptly made her way out of the Cafe to find out just what was going on.
