Summary:

Sapnap throws a party and George flirts with a man to make Dream jealous. It works.

I LOVEEE WHEN PPL GET JEOLUS ITS SO HOT

Dream's eyes are burning into his skull. He's never been the most subtle person when he's upset.

George laughs at something the man besides him says despite not really taking any of it in. He doesn't know him outside of being a friend of Sapnap's, like most people filling the living room, but he makes sure to bat his eyelashes a little more than usual.

He's flirting, George can tell that much due to his close proximity and tone of voice but that's all he cares about. If he's flirting, Dream will notice too, and based on the fact that his eyes haven't moved from George since he started playing it up, he already has.

The thing about Dream is that George doesn't know where they stand. He's lived in America for three months. Three months where George has been just across the hallway and Dream hasn't made a move in all honesty George is more offended than anything.

See, before recently George has always been under the impression that when an ocean no longer separated them, they'd give it a try. Hell, they'd have conversations that ended in them promising such to one another, and yet Dream hasn't given him more than some casual flirting.

Any touch he has spared him has been fleeting and though he's certain Dream feels the tension too, it's as if he's trying to fight it. George is sick of it.

George's train of thought interrupts itself when he notices that the man he's talking to - John? Jack? He's sure it's a J name - is looking at him expectantly.

"I'm sorry, what'd you say?"

The man waves it off, "Just askin' if you wanted another drink."

George smiles and tactfully settle his arm on the guy's bicep, "That's so nice of you, that would be awesome. Vodka coke?"

"Coming right up, princess."

George resists the urge to wince - on definitely-a-J-name's tongue the nickname is almost revolting but he plasters on a smile and watches him leave. It's worth it when he turns and see's Dream, still staring, lips hovering above the rim of his beer.

Even a couple feet away the fire in his eyes is scalding and George almost wishes it didn't make him so excited. And then Dream is walking towards him with bold strides and the flames grow with George's heartbeat.

"Hey Dream. Do you know Jake? He's Sap's friend."

"Jayden," He says, unamused. "He's an acquaintance."

George smirks, "I guess I was too distracted with his face. He's got nice eyes, doesn't he."

Dream's face darkens and his eyes squint him down, "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"

George feigns a look of confusion that he knows Dream can see right through, "What do you mean?"

Dream opens his mouth but before he can speak, Jayden is back with two cups and sliding himself right next to George.

"Oh hey uh- Clay, right? You're Nick's roommate." Jayden says, passing the vodka coke to George who takes it with a flirtatious smile. He takes a sip and leans a bit closer to Jayden, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah," Dream agrees dryly, "Sorry Jayden, I hope you don't mind I'm gonna steal George here for a minute, alright?"

George's smile blooms as he let's Dream grab his wrist, "Oh you're stealing me, huh?" He doesn't pay any mind to Jayden's words of confusion because Dream's dragging him through a crowd of Sapnap's friends towards his bedroom and the grip on his wrist is unwavering. Nothing else matters.
