Chapter 03; A Life Begins

After being hired by the strange teenage blonde girl with 70 feet of golden hair to be her escorts, Flynn Rider and Jonah Payne climb down from the tower, Rider using crossbow arrows while Jonah, much to the rogue's dismay, summoned one of his chained hook-spears from his left sleeve as a grappling hook to climb down with ease.

"Do you mind lending me the other end of that chain of yours?" Rider asked.

"Nope!" Jonah responds with a smirk. Needless to say Rider frowned at that comment.

"Hey, sunshine!" Jonah called out to Rapunzel. "Ya comin' or what?"

Rapunzel stood in the window frame with her hair hanging on the hook outside her window as she looks out at the outside world, which she's about to enter for the first time. Just then, much to the bounty hunter's surprise and shock, music just started playing out of nowhere and, as if things weren't strange enough as they were-and Jonah has seen some strange things throughout the past 4 years since that night, Rapunzel starts to sing.

"Look at the world so close, and I'm halfway to it! Look at it all so big, do I even dare? Look at me, there at last! I just have to do it!"

The girl then looks back into her home.

"Should I? No! Here I go!"

Pascal tied a bit of Rapunzel's hair around his waist before giving a thumbs-up, letting his friend know he's ready.

Then, Rapunzel let's her hair down, which caught the attention of both her guide and her bodyguard until they both looked up and scooted to the wall as she slid down her hair like a rope, giggling in excitement until she stops herself at 2 ft above the ground. She eyes the green grassy ground below her for a moment before slowly setting her left foot on the grass, instantly noticing how soft it is.

Then she has both feet on the ground as she enjoys the softness beneath them.

"Just smell the grass, the dirt! Just like I dreamed they'd be!"

She lays her whole body to the ground to enjoy the softness of the grass. Then, she looks at a dandelion.

"Just feel that summer breeze, the way it's calling me!"

She continues as as the breeze blew the dandelion seeds away. She then starts chasing after said branches until she steps into the stream from the waterfall, smiling as she sees the water only reaching above her ankles.

"For, like, the 1st time ever, I'm completely free!"

She splashes the water to the air. A blue bird flies around her before flying into the distance. Then, she starts running to the cave that leads to the outside.

"I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing, and leaping, and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding..."

While Rapunzel runs to the cave, both men made it to the ground and followed after her.

"...And splashing, and reeling, and finally feeling..."

She runs through the cave until she reaches the forest before her big finish.
