Kamaitachi-Shredding Weasel
SCP-Y 380
Object Class: Keter
Team Crook Name: N/ATeam Crook made their way down the corridor before stopping in front of a room with heavy security. This was the housing for SCP-Y 380, known as the shredding weasel here, but known as the Kamaitachi in folklore. Izuku opened the first door as all six walked into the room. Looking through a large screen revealed a cyclone of dust that swirled furiously around a metal plated room. Everywhere the cyclone hit would have a gash appear suddenly. Izuku clicked a button as the screen shifted to reveal a multi-layered window that was fairly scuffed up. He then opened a second door as they entered a second viewing room, standing behind the scuffed window this time. The man watched as the cyclone furiously scratched and clawed everything around it before he pulled a lever. The containment room was suddenly filled with a gas that caused the cyclone to slow down. After a few minutes, the cyclone completely stopped to reveal a weasel about the size of a large dog with razors for claws. Now I know what your thinking, that seemed easy enough to contain so why is it Keter? Well, I'll let Izuku explain.
Izuku: "M1N, 1DA, hurry and do maintenance. D3N, place food in the enclosure. M0N, replace the glass. R0K, stand by in case defense is necessary. Get this done quickly before 380 wakes up. Even the smallest crack can become a fissure if it isn't patched."
That's why this SCP is a Keter class. This SCP causes razor sharp cuts in it's environment. Most of the time they don't do much, but when the SCP has a preexisting crack it can continuously strike it until a massive hole is formed. SCP-Y 380 seems incapable of hitting it's own cuts twice, but a cut or hole left by someone else appears to be fair game. This means even something as simple as peeling metal could be enough for 380 to escape. If this SCP does escape it's difficult to get back. While it's cuts are painless and don't bleed, this yokai is fast enough that capture is difficult. The team went to work fast as they did their assigned tasks. None of them wanted to be left in the room when 380 woke up and disobedience would make their heads explode. Iida had just finished patching up a small portion of the wall when Mineta asked him something.
Mineta: "Hey, do you think the boss has a girlfriend?"
Iida: "What do you mean, why bring that up?"
Mineta: "Well, the boss has all those girls who obviously like him. There's that girl we ran into earlier, that purple haired chick, the orange haired researcher, and don't even get me started on that black haired psychopath. Even still, with all the people who obviously like him there's bound to be more that like him secretly. So why does the boss just speak to them like they're co-workers, he doesn't even care about the fact they're fiending for him."
Iida: "I guess I never thought about his home life. He surely wouldn't tell us about it, but even still, if he has a partner then that might be why he chooses to work with us."
Mineta: "Ok, you lost me there, why would the boss having a partner factor into this?"
Iida: "You said how obvious it is that women here are intrigued by him. Maybe he chose to work with us because he doesn't have to worry about interacting with anyone falling for him."
Mineta: "I guess I can get the appeal, but it's just that he really might be oblivious to all of it."
Iida: "I don't think so. He's hyperaware when it comes to everything else, why wouldn't he be aware of human emotions?"
Mineta sighed before he hammered down a piece of the metal wall starting to lift up.
Mineta: "The boss always seems so professional and stone cold, it makes me suspicious that the boss doesn't understand the concept of love or flirting."
Iida replaced a full panel and waited for it to click in place before replying.
Iida: "I don't know, I just can't see him being unaware about something so clearly obvious. Hey, wait a minute, what did you mean by black haired psychopath earlier?"
Mineta: "Oh, that chick with the black hair and blue eyes. She's another D-Class in that orange haired researcher's team. She's a psychopathic mass murderer known for stuffing her victims into impossibly tight places. Every time we cross paths with that team she only focuses on the boss. There was one time when the boss helped that team leader out. During that time the psycho would just constantly stare at the boss. I was worried she planned on targeting the boss, but after a while I looked in her eyes and saw they had hearts in them."
Iida: "That's, incredibly unsettling. What if she only target's those she has affection for?"
The short boy paused as he had finished patching up a slash on the wall. He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
Mineta: "I don't think that's the case. I passed her cell during yard time and heard her mumbling some stuff. I didn't really listen until she said the boss's name, that was when I heard a wet sort of sound."
Iida just finished placing the final panel when he froze in place.
Iida: "Oh, that's a very disturbing image."
Their boss's voice then cut through the room as the last two remaining in there turned to look at him.
Izuku: "M1N, 1DA, is your task complete?"
Both nodded as they walked towards the rest of the group. Once they were with the rest of the team the door closed and they waited. It wasn't too much longer until the weasel woke up and started to eat the raw meat Denki placed in there. Izuku then nodded in satisfaction before leading the team into the corridor once more. He looked at his clipboard and nodded, at least the next SCP was relatively easy to care for.
