-Sirius, I've found it...Febrem macula is a syndrome produced by the ingestion of substances that exude or release urushiol oil, the effects of which generate allergic skin reactions such as uneven purple spots, exhaustion, and thickening of the blood that can cause.... cardiac arrests within two months of its intake for the most resistant subjects-

Two days had passed since the first analysis on Arya, for which Nori and Sirius had locked themselves in the study between books and papers, trying to understand what it was all about:
-let me read- Sirius took the manual from which Nori read that extract, adjusting his small glasses and wrinkling his forehead. As he read with his eyes at the end, his gaze became more serious and in a grave tone he concluded:
-this seems to be Arya's case-.
-but how is that possible? Where could she have contracted it from?" asked Nori confused
-the only option I can think of is that she ingested some wild blackberry from the Rosaceae family, although wolves should generally be immune to it. I suspect that her late development of her omega potential contributed to exposing her to the disease-.
-is there a cure?- asked Nori worriedly, and Sirius pointed to the words in the manual:
-Algaria luminosa of the group Ulvaceae with healing properties is able to dispel the reactions produced by the urushiol resin and heal the patient-.
Nori exhaled from relief:
-perfect, then. Where does this Algaria grow? -
-it doesn't say-
-seriously? - Nori inspected every word and caption but did not get any information, becoming alarmed again:
-we must tell the Kleins, they should know about this, though Arya will have to remain unaware of it: there's no need to aggravate her state-.

Certainly the reactions to that revelation were as dramatic as expected, as Amalya and Marcus were on the verge of despair, in disbelief at those words, and Filip remained in a gloomy silence, as shaken as they were by the news:
-How was this possible Sirius?- Marcus looked at him in search of explanation:
-It is as I reported, Marcus. Arya is developing a delayed immune system compared to the other Omegas, that's why she didn't reject the poison. I assure you we will do everything we can to find the source of the Algaria...-
-oh moon goddess...-Amalya tried to control herself but fear got the better of her, and Marcus held her hand to give her some comfort:
-Arya is currently in an early stage of reaction; the spots are still in a limited area of her body and the pressure has gone up a little- Nori continued.
-How long does she have left?- intervened Filip, asking the question to which both parents feared the answer. Nori looked at him and said gravely:
-she might not make it to the third moon- Amalya had a startled sob, with tears streaming copiously down her soft cheeks:
-Nori...Sirius...how long do you need to find the plant?
-We don't know- said Nori:
-what, you don't know? you're the botanists of the pack, you must know! - Marcus manifested his dominant alpha rage, to which the two interlocutors were taken aback:
-you have to reason Marcus though the situation makes it difficult- said Filip seriously in defence of the two:
- as it is an algae it will grow in water, so the search options are limited to the lakes in the valley and the sea, although it would cost us too much time for the latter. And the cure generally doesn't grow too far from the evil; if needed I'll also search for which creatures feed on this seaweed, so as to reduce our search radius further-
-yes, er...that would be useful- said Nori, crossing his gaze and then diverting it
- as soon as we have any information, we will communicate it to you,' Sirius concluded.
That search took the two experts' body and soul, holing them up in the study and the castle library, drastically shortening their sleeping hours, in search of a scrap of information that could fill in the last piece of that seemingly impossible puzzle.

One late evening, Nori found himself at a table in the library with an oil lamp illuminating the pages of the open manuals full of words and images of all kinds of plants, shrouded in the silence of that large and solemn place. His quietness and work overload made the longed-for but deprived sleep of the last period weigh more heavily on him, so that he found it difficult to concentrate on his reading, having to repeat the same sentence several times and ending up not grasping its meaning.
He had disentangled every group of poisonous plant, the families of all the algae and discovered 16 roots with incomprehensible names, but nothing on the possible location of Algaria. His eyelids grew heavy, as did his head resting on his hand, which slowly tilted until he was in contact with the flat and strangely comfortable surface of the table. He fell asleep almost immediately, distracted by his search, which seemed to lead nowhere, no matter how hard he had fought to stay awake. Within half an hour of his dozing off, Filip entered the bookcase with books on aquatic creatures in his hand, discovering a significant detail about herbivorous fish feeding on Algaria that would help them locate the plant, but once he noticed Nori asleep and bent over the table he stopped, amazed to see him there. The image was almost amusing, but his attention was drawn to the small features of him, such as his long eyelashes, the dark circles under his eyes more pronounced due to his lack of sleep, or the hair falling softly over his arm and forehead, not making him unpleasant to the eye:
Filip moved closer, scrutinising his vulnerable and clearly tired face more closely:
