As the sun set, the group settled on a small knoll with the dark silhouettes of the trees rising against the warm daylight and the foliage filtering through. Although tired as they were, Tormund, Jean, and Connell went out to hunt for fresh game, while Sandor and Filip looked at a small crumpled map to figure out how much they were missing by the time they reached Awa.

If all went well, it would not be long, although Filip knew that the real problem was Awa's alpha, Faramir:
"we'll have to hope he doesn't cause us any trouble and lets us pass undisturbed."
"I didn't think a wolf could be so wary of foreigners"
"since we are from Panya we should have no problem, although I can't be entirely certain"
"Nori was born in Awa, right?" Filip darted his eyes toward his companion:"what does it matter?"
"I know that those in Awa have more trust with those related to their pack" Filip looked at Nori, distant from them and busy gathering firewood, annoyed by that comment, though he replied dryly:
"Nori is a member of Panya, he has nothing to do with them "
"I know...I'm just saying that maybe this detail of his could make it easier for us to be welcomed...in case we have any trouble" Filip did not want to continue that discussion, folding the map:
"I am a Klein, brother of Marcus Klein: that will be enough for that idiot not to play tricks on us."

Having finished consulting the map, Sandor took care of the horses, and Filip was for a moment reticent about whether to go and talk to Nori, finally realizing that he had never posed those kinds of doubts to himself, as if he cared about not bothering the beta, only to finally feel a streak of pride invade his chest and convince himself in his purpose.

Once he had finished his tasks, Nori sat down on the lighted side of the hill, feeling the wind lift his hair a little. Filip said nothing and simply sat down next to him, to the dissimulated surprise of the beta, although there was a momentary silence between the two interrupted later by Filip:
"when we get to Awa I hope you won't pick up any more strange plants."
"pf, we are just passing through " Nori quoted wryly, continuing to watch the scenery unfold to them:
" what if we find ourselves in other circumstances? would you want to stay longer? "
"...nothing would change."
"I'm glad" Nori turned to Filip, surprised by that comment, though the alpha appeared calm and unfazed while his blue eyes warmed as the sunset advanced. When he too turned away, however, Nori had to correct himself: his eyes were instead a picton blue hue and like magnets by which Nori ended up utterly captivated.
"I see that you are already putting my notions into practice."
"your notions?" asked Nori skeptically:
"mm-mm" Filip had a thin grin,"it's a beautiful sunset, isn't it?" .
Nori watched the dying sun color the air an orange hue and then said faintly:
"it is. I remember that from the terrace of the great hall you can see it better." Filip didn't look away from Nori, captivated by his natural beauty and amazed that only then did he realize:
" there's another place in Pania where you can see them better...when we come back I can show you." Nori turned to him:
"to me?"
" who else but you?"
"I mean...only to me?" Filip looked at him in silence for a while and then said nonchalantly:
"yeah. Are you scared of me, little wolf?"
"pff" a smile escaped Nori,"I didn't think you had so many secret pearls to show me."

And I could show you all of them.

As much as he thought this, Filip said:
"you should smile more with me" in fact he was genuinely cheered to see Nori in that serene state:
"otherwise I'll think you can't stand my presence."
"perhaps," said Nori ironically."is that so huh? and I thought otherwise" Nori laughed a little:
"not always...it depends on how you behave"
"and now? am I tolerable?"
"may go" Filip had an amused sigh.
"I guess there have been more occasions to dislike me" Nori didn't immediately respond.
"I'd like to see the place you're telling me about...and I'd like you to show me the sparkleaps shining again like that night. I-I mean, that wouldn't be bad."
"as you wish."They looked at each other intensely, and Nori felt in awe:
"why are you like that?"
"like what? magnificent?" Nori looked up:
"I..I don't know."
"do you mind if I'm like this?"
"...you confuse me"
"in what way do I confuse you?" their close proximity and Filip's piercing gaze made Nori less confident:
