Chapter 10: Betrayed

Katharina's POV

"Kat you okay in the-" Mia stopped speaking as a came out of the stall. I washed my hands and then my face as I saw myself in the mirror. I could not look my self in the mirror for more than 2 seconds because my reflection only reminded me of the horrific scene that occurred tonight.

"You shouldn't have yelled at him, kat" Mia said soothing my back. "Also he wanted to talk to you but-" I couldn't take it anymore so I snapped "did you tell him?" "What ?" Mia cocked her left brow "did you tell Vincenzo that Dante called me" I asked, looking at her face solemnly moving my head to left where she stood.

"Uuu-i—no-no" she stuttered Mia never does that she has always been a confident one, I swear to god if she is lying..... taking a step towards her I asked again "Mia I am asking for the last time did you tell him?" She tried to make some words "I-i I had no choice kat" I was shocked no beyond shocked, could this night be any better.

"Kat don't be mad at me, you know if Vincenzo ask you something you gotta answer no matter what" yea.,off course "i don't believe Mia..huh, you sold me out" literally I felt betrayed we have been keeping each other secrets from our childhood but this is the first.

"Look I know i hurt you but, he suddenly came and started asking about Dante so I had to tell him. I really don't want to be on his bad side" she looked at me with her puppy eyes. "Whatever, but you sold me out and now you are telling me that I shouldn't have yelled at him,huh! Whose side are you on, hmm?" I asked pointing a finger at her totally loosing my shit.

"Kat don't look at me like that, we are soul sister and you know I love you. But, Vincenzo... he is not someone to mess up with" there was a hesitation in her voice like she wants to say something but couldn't.

"I just want you to be calm and listen to him" I guess I have lost my dearest cousin to that psychopath. "Have you lost it Mia, are you even listening to yourself, he manhandled me, disrespect me, choked me to death.. almost and you are telling me I should listen to him"

"I am saying this because he won't back down, he is serious about all this, he is serious about....you..." she rubbed my forearm while giving me a tight smile. I couldn't say anything I wanted to but I just...couldn't.

"Now, let's go out and please... please be calm he won't do anything bad if you will do as he says, answer all his questions, okay?" Sighing I nodded. May be this is the only way out of this place because fighting him won't help that's for sure.

As we walked back to where everyone was seated Rebecca came fast walking towards us. "Kat" she called me Kat for the first time she looked concerned "you ok now?" I nodded as we reached the table. Jason gestured us to sit while Luca ordered some drinks and the psychopath is busy yelling on his phone in foreign language standing across the railing.

I wish he keeps yelling until we are here, however I feel bad for the other person on the call. Luca handed me a glass of water and I averted my eyes from his muscular back. God...he is strong I can still feel his hands on my neck and jaw. It hurts a little bit.

"Katharina, I hope you are fine now" Luca asked breaking my chain of thoughts "I am fine" I gave him a small smile as I didn't know what to say. I am still shaken up by everything that happened. "I am sorry for his behaviour, he is like that... anger issues you know" anger issues huh! He go and find someone else to release his anger but spare me "it's just my suggestion and request that you do not disobey him because it pisses him off" what's with everyone preaching me how to be around a psycho but no body is asking him to get off.

As I was about to literally yell at him, Vincenzo appeared putting his phone in his silky suit jacket making him self comfortable on the couch right in front of me. As his eyes met mine I stiffened. His hawk eyes are staring at me as if he wants something and his eyes lowered. Scanning my body with the same intensity.
