<Choi Palace>

"We've to let them know, your highness." Ara sighed, "Let's talk to Seungcheol and Jeonghan first then we'll tell the others too."

"You're right." Sunwoo nodded, "Hiding the truth would cause nothing but problems."

It was when they heard a knock as they granted permission to come in.

"Mom, dad? Is everything alright?" Seungcheol asked as Jeonghan stood beside him.

"Yeah." Ara chuckled nervously, "How are you both?"

"We're fine, mom." Jeonghan retorted.

"Great." Sunwoo smiled.

"There's something we want to tell you." Ara contemplated, "Hari- she- her soul has escaped the doors of hell and she has been set free."

"What?!" Seungcheol was bewildered as Jeonghan looked at him.

"We thought you should be aware of the truth." Sunwoo nodded, "We don't know if it has happened rightfully or against the rules. We also don't know if she'll reincarnate for good or bad. But yeah, the truth is that she might come back."

"And then?" Jeonghan asked.

"Then-" Ara hesitated, "It depends. To be honest, her return or reincarnation is not a problem for us. Her past life and present or future shouldn't be related but we told you because you deserve to know about this."

Seungcheol didn't react as he stared at his parents blankly.

"She's like any other person to us." Sunwoo added, "The only problem is that we have to make sure that she isn't a threat to us because we were pretty much responsible for her exile."

"She might or might not remember her past life but before concluding anything, we have to search for her." Ara summarised.

Silence fell inside the room after which Jeonghan looked up, "I'll arrange for a meeting with the Chiefs, Chancellor and Defence Chief. I'll take my leave now."

He didn't spare a glance to Seungcheol as he left.

After a while, Seungcheol sighed, "I'll go too. We'll look into this matter and make sure that our people will never be in trouble."

"And? What about you? What do you think about her return, son?" Sunwoo asked.

"I think nothing." Seungcheol gently stated, "Please, stop having these trust issues with me, enough is enough. I can't explain myself at every step, dad."

"What about Jeonghan?" Ara asked, "You won't explain it to him either?"

"Let me deal with this mom, don't worry." Seungcheol nodded and left the room.

He walked through the hallways as he made his way to his room.

He recalled how as soon as Hari's name came up, all he could think of was Jeonghan.

"After everything that I promised you, please don't have distrust on me, Jeonghan." Seungcheol worried, "I can't bear to explain myself everytime although I know it's hard for you. But this situation is really complex. You have to believe me, only me. Why does she have to come back huh?"

It was when Seungcheol himself realised how much he had changed. For good, right? Because never had he ever thought that Hari's reincarnation would irk him.

"Jeonghan!" Seungcheol mumbled, "I swear if you don't trust me without even listening to me, I'll not take that. You can take as much time as you want but please don't think I'll go for her, never."
