17 - Falling For U

<Serenity Mansion>

Jeonghan woke up to see Seungcheol sitting by the window on the platform as it was raining heavily. As he shuffled to sit up, Seungcheol looked at him, "Good morning, your highness!"

Jeonghan chuckled lazily, "You already took a shower?"

"No, just freshened up."

"Mhmm, I'm going too." Jeonghan nodded as he stood up to stretch a bit after which he went into the bathroom.

As a few moments passed, Seungcheol called, "Jeonghan?"

Jeonghan peeked out of the bathroom while brushing his teeth.

"Would you like to have some coffee right now?" Seungcheol asked.

Jeonghan showed a thumbs up as he went back in again.

After a while, he came out of the bathroom as the aroma of fresh coffee was occupying the room. He took both the cups from the table and walked towards the window where the older was sitting as he handed him his cup.

Seungcheol was resting his back against the wall while his legs stayed on the platform, beside the window.

"Come."

"Where?" Jeonghan was confused.

"Here." Seungcheol spread his arms.

"Are you crazy?" Jeonghan laughed a bit.

"I'm serious!" Seungcheol whined.

Jeonghan looked here and there for a while after which he went to settle amidst the older's embrace. His back rested against the older's chest as both of them sat by the huge glass between them and the heavy rainfall.

Seungcheol wrapped one arm around the younger as he sipped on his coffee with the other.

"The rain is beautiful." Jeonghan muttered.

"You like it?" Seungcheol asked.

"I love it." Jeonghan replied, "Coffee is good!"

While laying against the older's chest, Jeonghan looked up.

"What?" Seungcheol gently asked.

"Nothing." Jeonghan grinned lightly, "It feels so strange, in a good way."

"Because of me?"

Jeonghan nodded, "You've changed so much. Like, very much."

"I didn't change, Jeonghan." Seungcheol kept his empty cup away, "I just became what I always was. I became the person who everyone knew in the name of Choi Seungcheol. And I must thank you for this, for bringing me back to life or else I was just a puppet under a ridiculous spell."

"But in this process, you got hurt too." Jeonghan sighed.

"Sometimes, you need to stumble and fall to stand on the right path. It just happened." Seungcheol mumbled, "Anyways, how did I change for you?"

Jeonghan remained silent for a while, "At first, I saw you as a threat to me but now, here I am, feeling content in your arms. From despising you to seeking comfort from you, it just happened."

Seungcheol chuckled, "You're very strong Jeonghan but do you know? Your heart is way too soft. It melts for the smallest things."

"Why so?"

"You gave me another chance very easily."

"Then it's not my heart, Seungcheol, it's your efforts that made a difference." Jeonghan hummed, "I don't know, I just feel calm around you."
