<Choi Palace>
"You look amazing." Seungcheol admired as Jeonghan was standing in front of the mirror, wearing his wrist watch.
Jeonghan just chuckled.
"You should dress like this everyday, not just when some guests are arriving." Seungcheol whined.
"If you do then I'll do too." Jeonghan mumbled.
"Pass."
Jeonghan laughed, "Let's go. We've to welcome them too."
"Yeah." Seungcheol nodded as both of them walked towards the door, "After you."
Jeonghan smiled as he stepped out first, quickly earning the bows of the guards.
Both of them arrived at the entrance hall where the king, queen and princess of the Jeon Lineage were arriving soon.
Along with them, Sunwoo, Ara, Seokmin, Joshua and Dino were also present.
Soon enough, the awaited guests arrived. Three of the royals walking in front while their guards followed them, carrying loads of gifts.
The Choi Empire welcomed them warmly after which everyone settled in the main hall.
But all the excitement Jeonghan had, to welcome the guests, disappeared in thin air when he saw the princess, Jeon Hana taking subtle glances of Seungcheol who was unaware of it.
Jeonghan frowned to himself, rolling his eyes.
"Is everything alright?" Seungcheol whispered to him.
"I'll wrap you in a newspaper and lock you in the room." Jeonghan muttered.
"What nonsense?" Seungcheol was taken aback.
"Nothing." Jeonghan chuckled, "Carry on."
"You're scaring me." Seungcheol mumbled.
"Darling, shut up." Jeonghan sarcastically stated.
"Seungcheol, son!" Mr. Jeon addressed, "Hana had prepared a gift for you but she's a bit shy to present it."
"Oh c'mon, don't ask him." Mrs. Jeon teased, "Ask Jeonghan if he's fine with the emperor accepting gifts like this."
Everyone in the hall laughed at the little banter going on.
The gift was brought, it was a luxurious pearl necklace.
Hana got a bit flustered, "Here it is. Please wear it if it's comfortable right now."
Seungcheol hesitated internally whether to accept wearing it or just keep it in courtesy. But a playful smirk decorated his lips when he saw Jeonghan boring holes into the pearl necklace.
'Jealous? Really?' Seungcheol thought to himself, 'Let's see what this stunt can bring out of you, dear husband.'
Seungcheol took the thread of pearls from the staff who was holding it in a tray. He fastened it around his neck, "Thank you so much."
"Your welcome." Hana chuckled.
Seungcheol inched closer to Jeonghan, "How is it?"
"Pearls don't suit you." Jeonghan rolled his eyes, "It's average."
"Is it?" Seungcheol's smile widened, "You don't like it?"
"I told you, it's average." Jeonghan looked away.
Seungcheol felt a sense of victory within himself. He was loving how Jeonghan wasn't even trying to hide his annoyance.
Soon enough, the day was over and night had fallen. The Jeons had been treated with a royal dinner after which everyone had went to their respective rooms.
