I ran around my room packing every item I could possibly need for my trip. I looked in my big black duffle bag, toothbrush, check, toothpaste, check, clothes, check, toiletries, check, and then all that extra stuff.
I didn't know exactly where I was running away to so I also packed a coat and a bathing suit. I thought I would just walk and hitchhike to the right area then stop.
I heard a heavy knock on the front door. I went down stairs with my bag to open the door when I saw my mom open the door. Filling up the door frame was a man holding a gun. I went into panic mode, my vision was blurry and I had a sudden burst of adrenaline.
The strange man picked up the gun and aimed it at my mother. He shot only once. That was when my dad walked in and collapsed. Blood came seeping through his best work shirt.
That was when I got my first glimpse of the man. He was beautiful, perfect he had dark black long hair that he had slicked back. He was wearing a tux.
He walked over to me with inhuman speed and picked me up like I was a feather that had fallen onto the floor. Then he ran. And ran. And ran. After what seemed like hours of running at the same inhuman speed we reached a small cave. He brought me in and set me down on a small ledge.
"I've been watching you." he whispered. then I felt the worst pain I could have imagined.
It started as a warmth. Then a strong heat. Soon it was uncomfortable heat. Then it was a burning. I must've been on fire.
