Weeks, it seemed.
The pain never stopped, never eased. I asked myself one question and that was, why? Why did this happen to me?

After what seemed like years the pain changed. It didn't hurt less but it had changed. It seemed to be holding on to me with everything it had before letting go. First it subsided in my fingertips and toes, then my arms, my legs.
Until it was gone. The pain, the burning.

Gone.

My eyes fluttered open. I could see everything, the cracks in a caves walls, a small and struggling along carrying one of its deceased peers. Every speck of dust, every piece of dirt.

Thumping noises echoed in the large chamber. The charming man that has killed my parents was standing right at my feet.
"What have you done to me?!" I screamed, hearing my voice for the first time.
I jumped up to a standing position effortlessly.

"I have only made you better." He chuckled, running his hand along his perfect chin with perfect pale skin.

"No you haven't!" I shrieked, "You're just a monster and you've turned me into one too!"
All of a sudden I was on top of him, ripping and scratching at anything I could get a hold of. Hair, eyes, ears and soon enough, neck.

Thump. All of a sudden his head was rolling
away from us. I had no idea what to do so I took my lighter from my pocket and lit him on fire.

Turns out monsters are extremely flammable. Who knew?
