CHASE THE LONELY NIGHT AWAY

Beneath a moon of pearly gleam, Where stars like scattered diamonds gleam,

A solitary blue rose sighs, A tear rolls down its velvet skies.

The sun, it slumbered long ago, Leaving shadows soft and slow.

The rose, a creature of the light, Yearns for warmth to chase the night.

It whispers on the velvet breeze, "I need you, oh, to bring me ease.

To chase away the moon's cold stare, And wake the world with golden flair."

A single tear, a soft perfume, A silent plea beneath the moon.

Will dawn arrive with warming ray, And chase the lonely night away?

Then from the east, a light appears, The sun awakes, dispelling fears.

The blue rose blooms, its heart alight, No longer needing the darkest night.

For even in the moonlit hush, When shadows dance and stars all rush,

A silent plea can reach the sun, And chase the lonely night, undone.
