LOVE AND HATRED

Love and hate, a tangled vine, Two sides of the self, a heart defined.

Love, a bloom of sunlit grace, Warmth that fills an empty space. Laughter's song on gentle breeze, Rustling leaves in whispering trees.

Hate, a thorn with shadows deep, A bitter seed that souls can't keep. Clenched fists tight, a storm-filled sky, A teardrop's fall, a silent cry.

They twine together, light and dark, A constant battle, leaving its mark. For love can sour, trust betrayed, And hate can fester, hope decayed.

But where they meet, a choice takes hold, To nurture kindness, let hate grow cold. With open arms and gentle hand, Love's strength can mend a broken land.
