My gaze was pointed with extreme incredulity at the monitor, in that display was written the report of the mission that had been carried out on the surface, and to my horrendous regret it had been a complete fiasco, all the squadrons sent had been ellemined before the start of the mission.

And the cause of this disaster was a corrupt Nikke, unfortunately this factor was unexpected and frankly it made me nervous, not only because we had lost another Nikke because of corruption but because it was yet another corrupt Nikke that slipped under our noses, if this news became public, I don't know how many headaches I will have to go through to calm the citizens of the Arck.

But the issue that genuinely surprised me and made me incredulous was that only one squad had survived and managed to complete this mission that had become high risk, every single detail of the performance of this mission carried out by this squod had been written by one of the most efficient operators ever had in intelligence.

Shifty is a girl who has shown an extreme ability to guide and help the squads that have been assigned to her, she guided them with extreme precision and attention warning them of the dangers in a precise and cunning way, her reports were precise and she details describing in detail the most significant events of the mission. And right now he was standing in front of my desk waiting for my next order after I finished reading his report, even though I had finished this report three times.

The reason for my continuous re-reading of this report by Shifty is for the part where that young commander together with his squad faces and eliminated a Black Smith  a Tyrant-class Raptures, quite a rare occurrence especially if we are talking about a novice commander.

In addition to this, in the squod of the only surviving commander in this mission had joined an unregistered Nikke, to be more precise a Pilgrim, these Nikkes were built in the era when the war against the Raptures was in its infancy, and for this reason there was a lack of data or information on this Nikke, the Nikke production companies born in that era (obviously not counting Tetra Line, Missile industry and Elysium) had now disappeared and with them also the production projects of those Nikkes.

For this reason there was a lack of information and about this Nikke, being that the three Nikke production industries of the Arck are not its producers, like any Pilgrim.

From the report that was given to me by Shifty, this Pilgrim who called himself Assassin, is a Nikke of the Attacker class, he is an expert on close combat, he uses a fighting style he has dual swords, and from Shifty's report he said that he fought in a precise but also refined and elegant way.

But there was something that worried me, and that was the fog of mystery surrounding this Pilgrim, I had gone to look up if there had been any sightings of this Pilgrim in the past, but we had completely none information about this Nikke or random sightings about him, making Assassin a real unknown.

With a sigh, I placed the tablet in my hands  in the desk. As I leaned my back in my comfortable armchair and with my left hand pinched the bridge of my nose, the discomfort I felt at this moment is incalculable.

This discomfort was not caused by the surprise to know that this young commander with no experience continued his first mission with a suicidal decision to go against and shoot down a Black Smith with only two or three Nikkes, at most I could be stunned or thrilled by such news, one less Tyrant to think of is a huge prove puff of fresh air.

But the reason for my annoyance is the mystery surrounding this Pilgrim worried me, usually when we don't have an identikit on a Pilgrim we were looking for documents written by commanders and operators who emphasized the sighting of these Nikkes, but this Pilgrim is a complete blank sheet, you couldn't find even a small sighting or document that was mentioned about him.
