Samantha's POV

Jesse Booker was going to Jail for sure.

That's the only thing I could think of after the day we had in court. His father was doing everything to make sure he goes to prison.

I needed to shake this feeling or anxiety was going to get the best of me so I decided to go for a jog after I got home from work. I couldn't use my earbuds because daddy had warned me about that.

Sammy, yuh nuh listen enuh. His voice echoed.

It was 6:30 pm, the place was still bright and I was just planning for a thirty minute run.

As I started running a car pulled up on me. I didn't recognize the person, not that I would know anyone around here.

"Hey, you need a lift?" He asked.

So this man doesn't see that I am running.

"No thanks" I shouted.

I was running, he was still driving slowly and talking to me. I was trying my hardest to be polite because the road was lonely.

Hope this man doesn't take me away. All sorts of things started going through my head now but I kept jogging. My ear buds would come in handy right now.

"Can I have your number?" He asked.

Fuck no. I knew that was coming.

"I don't have a phone," I said.

Can this man just leave me the hell alone, I was running to get some fucking peace.

"Well take mine and give me a call." He was too fucking persistent.

This man wasn't going to stop following me. Turn on Allen street hoping I could stop at Nick's gate and someone will see me and this man will just go away.

Why the fuck did this man turned with me? I was starting to get nervous.

Here comes my luck when I saw Nick and some two guys standing at his gate. The man in the car still didn't give up. He was still chatting and trying to get me to take his card, after I had refused countless times.

Now I was really scared because one person couldn't be this determined. I ran to them and stop right in front of Nick:

"Sam" He said, he was surprised to see me.

I used my thumb to slightly show him the car behind me. The man even stopped with me to rass.

"Hey, you good?" He called from the car.

Nick looked past me.

"You know him?" He asked.

"No, he has been following me since I left my house."

Nick's friend picked up on what was happening and pulled his gun. That made me pull closer to Nick.

"Yo mi G, you good?" He asked the guy in the car.

"Just wanted to know if she was ok, that's all," He said.

The fuck you did.

I wanted to tell him to fuck off so bad but I rather let the guys handle it.

"Shi a good man, just take time gwan bredda," Nick said.

This man did not want to move but he drove off as soon as the guy stepped out and he saw the gun in his hand.

"He asked me for my number and I kept telling him no but he just kept following me." I said.

I was really scared. What if I didn't see Nick outside?
