Reece went to the staff room, knowing this would probably be where his sister is. He opens the door, and sees her sitting at one of the tabels, holding one of the photos Mia brought in, and looking out of the window, deep in thought. As he walks closer he can see the picture, it is from on of their days in the park, he remembers that day. Mia had made flower crowns for all of them, and Aut had been running around showing hers to every one, after Mia had told her she looks like a princess wearing it.
"Can I sit?" He carefully asks. "Sure." Came the short reply. "So what do you think about all that?" Reece starts. "I don't think I want to search for her." Autumn says quickly. "She left us with him, I can understand that you want to be with the person you love, but not for the sake of the lives of people you were meant to protect. I think I can forgive Mia one day. She is really sorry I can see that, and I can see how she and Charlotte are bringing out the best in each other, but I don't want to chase someone who just stood up, and left us alone with him, knowing what he is capable of." Reece nods. Taking a moment to process what his sister had said. "I see it the same way as you do, Aut. I dont think I want to see her again. So we are on the same page here? We will not search for her?" "No, we will not. Thank you brother. I do think I have to go search for father. I have some questions for him." Reece gulps he can practicly feel the murderous rage coming from his sister. "Alright, just dont kill him. Oh, by the way, Char and Marj are in the office gushing about Mia, so there are probably gonna be triple dates from now on" "Ugh, this day just gets worse and worse" His sister grumbels, but he can see her smiling, just a little bit.
A few hours later:
Charlotte had been watching the clock the whole day. What can she say, she is missing her girlfriend. Her shift ends in ten minutes, and almost all kids are collected, exept for two. So maybe she can go on time. She looks out of the window exactly as Mia's car parks in the car park, and a bright smile appears on her face, as she watches her extremly hot girlfriend leaning against the car, waiting for her. "What are you smiling about? Oh of course, it's Mia" Carlys voice cuts through to her. Charlotte smiles sheepishly at her "Sorry Carly, I just really missed her today that's all." Carly was aware of the newest gossip, to nobodys surprise. Char swore she had probably hid a mic somewhere in the office. "I still cant believe you and her are together, and that she is good now." "Well she worked on herself, and she also wanted me to tell you that she wants to talk with you, whenever you are ready for it." Carly was a bit taken aback. "Why does she want to talk to me?" "Ask her yourself. Your shift is over, and she is waiting in the car park for me. I can do the two handovers alone. If you want to."
Char says, just as one of the parents walks in. Carly bites her lip in thought, then she sighs, and decides to look for the radhead.
She finds her leaning against her car, watching Char speak with one of the parents, with a slight smile on her face. "You really love her, don't you?" Carly says. Green eyes flicker to her. "I do, very much. How are the driving lessons?" She asks. "They are stressful. Who thought driving is that hard? But thank you for paying for them. That was nice I guess." "You don't have to thank me. Actually I wanted to say sorry. What I did was not really nice of me. You remeberd me too much of my old self and that hurts, like really hurts, but that is no excuse for what I did. So I am really sorry for what I did and I hope you can forgive me." Carly looks Mia in the eyes, searching for something, thinking a moment before smiling and saying "I guess it's fine. At least you told me, and not let me run around with it so everyone could see. That would have been even more embarassing" she laughs, a little awkward. "Thanks Carly. Char is right you know. You are extremly mature for your age." "OMG ERIC JUST TEXTED ME. SORRY MIA, I HAVE TO GO. BYE". "Nevermind I guess" Mia mumbels to herself. Thats when the last parent arrives, and Mia watches them walk into the Nursery. She sees Char talk to them before they are finally leaving.
Inside the Nursery:
"Are all kids gone?" Marj asks. "Yes, and the rooms are all cleaned already, so I would leave now too. If you don't need help locking up?" Char says, looking hopefully at Marj. "Go. She is already waiting." She says, seeing Mia lean against her car with a bored expression. "Thanks Marj. See you tomorrow!" Charlotte calls, already halfway out of the door.
Marj shakes her head,and watches Char through the window, as she runs up to Mia who picks her up, and twirls her around, before setting her back on the ground to hug her, and conect their lips in a kiss. Both of them are smiling now. She watches Mia open Char's door for her, before getting in the drivers seat, and driving of, just as Reece pulls in, and Marj smiles a loving smile of her own.
