Chapter III

Tiffany was walking down the street. Of course, very quickly and in disguise so that no one would recognize her. Just because she was released from prison didn't mean the news spread across the country, which in turn meant that plenty of people still thought she was a dangerous murderess. And while in Jennifer's body, Tilly was actually very well known. Then she was shocked. She saw Nica lying on the street and immediately ran to her to check what happened.

Nica slowly opened her eyes and looked around the room. It looked strangely familiar - like the room where Tiffany had kept her. She wanted to get up and sit on the bed, but she was too weak. She also felt terrible pain around her temples, so much so that she couldn't even turn her head. Her entire head felt heavy. Then Tiffany entered the room, and Nica only let out a terrifying scream. Tears came to her eyes. Was it just a dream? No. She looked at her hands, her new prosthetics were still there. So what happened? Did Tiffany kidnap her again? After all, she was in prison. It was all too twisted for Nica. Her head was pounding from too much information.

Tiffany sat on the corner of the bed.
-Oh, you're already awake. How do you feel? - she asked, stroking her cheek.
-Why aren't you in jail?!
-They let me go.
-But how?!
-It is a long story. But tell me what about you? What happened? I found you lying in the street. Do you know how scared I was? - the woman grabbed her chest.
-I think... I lost consciousness... - she slurred.
-Nica, are you feeling okay?

-Oh, my poor sweetface - Tiffany grabbed both of her cheeks with her hands - I'll make sure you make a full recovery. - Suddenly she felt hot tears on her hands. - What's going on?
-I want to get out of here...
-You can leave here whenever you want, but first you need to feel better. What if you faint again?
-I feel great, now let me out! - she screamed. - Or call an ambulance!
-We don't need an ambulance. I stopped the bleeding from your forehead and wrapped your entire head in a bandage.
-What kind of bleeding?
-Well, blood was pouring from your forehead when I found you. You may have cracked your head when you fell on the sidewalk. But everything is fine now. Besides... I can't expose myself unnecessarily.

Tiffany picked her up and carried her up the stairs. Nica wrapped her arms around her neck. When the woman came downstairs, she stopped for a moment next to Nici's cart and stared at it.
-Can you leave me now? - Nica asked irritably, urging Tiffany on.
-Oh, yes, now. Here you are - she said, putting her in the wheelchair. Then she opened the door for her. Nica went outside. She was really surprised that Tiffany let her go just like that.
-Do you feel well enough to go back alone? - the blonde asked in a quiet voice.
-Yes, yes.
-It's dark and night, aren't you afraid?
-After what I experienced, I don't think anything can scare me anymore.
-Don't you want to stay? Even for one night? I took your temperature, you have a fever. I don't want anything to happen to you along the way. I'm really worried.
-It'll be all right. - she replied and headed towards the street.
