Destiny, as you'd define it, is all but inevitable. It is a fragile thing that should not be tampered with. Every step one takes only results in the multiplication of more paths in the maze of life.
There are two types of beings in this world.
There are those who are blessed by light, shining brightly under the rays of the Sun — and there are those consumed by darkness, drowning in a sea of anguish and pain.
And then there was you. Someone bound to destiny, standing forever between the lines of black and white. Purgatory was your home, and there was no one else to share it with.
Invisible chains holding you down in place, tightening with every breath you take.
But what were these chains if you had not created them for yourself in the first place?
You narcissistically bind yourself to a shade of grey with nothing but a want for a life under the light once more, and yet you wish to pull bodies from the darkness, bringing them with you to a place of hope.
You are selfish.
You want happiness. You need happiness. And you chase happiness under the guise of what you claim is your light at the end of the tunnel.
You are an empty vessel, waiting to be filled.
You ask the world if love is the answer.

The world smiles, and does not reply.
The surface of the river before you ripples gently. Another face comes into view.
Your eyes shift to meet his gaze. A moment of silence passes. You can see the corners of his lips twitching — something that was often a tell-tale sign he was anxious.
"What brings you here?" That was it, then. No nicknames, no flirty comments. Evidently, he's worried about something.
"You can feel it, can't you?" The impending destruction, the fate MK has to face. You pause, in search of better words to phrase your next statement. "Lady Bone Demon. She's awakened."
Sun Wukong stares at you blankly, though by how his hands had clenched tightly the moment you brought up the female demon, it seems he was already aware.
