Chapter 8-Deimos

He was alone in the dark, trying to figure out his enemy's moves. Hawak nito ang isang baril sa kanang kamay at habol ang hiningang nakakubli sa katawan nang isang malaking puno.

His left upper arm were wounded pero hindi nito iyon alintana.

"Deimos? Deimos, anak!"

Nakarinig siya nang pamilyar na boses mula sa earpiece na suot. It was his mother calling him.

"MOM!!" he exclaimed with his eyes wide open after hearing several gunshots on the other line.

He was so f*cking scared that time. He knows how badly he wants to be with his parents on that war but he can't get away from those men who's been following him around. If only there is no such betrayal in the world, maybe, his dad were still alive. Maybe his birthday were peaceful but it turned out to be a bloody war between organizations.

Betrayal after betrayal is the most hateful things he had ever experienced.

"M-Mom....?" sambit niya sa mahinang tinig at sinusubukang pakalmahin ang sarili.

Ingat na ingat siyang hindi makagawa nang ingay upang hindi ma-track ng mga kalaban ang kinaroroonan niya.

Kahit isang salita lang mula sa kanyang ina, sasabihin nitong okay lang siya ay mapapanatag na ang kanyang loob. He lost his other parent, he can't lost this one right now. His brother is still young.

"I-I'm okay, Deimos," his mother replied on her weak voice.

Nagsimulang dumagundong ang kanyang dibdib nang makarinig pang muli ng magkakasunod na putok nang baril.

That's the most hurtful things that happened in his entire life. Hearing his mother groans in pain feels like he was stab with a knife on his chest multiple times. Parang pinipiga ang kanyang puso dahil sa sakit na nararamdaman na kahit umabot na sila sa ganoong sitwasyon ay kailangan niya iyong tanggapin.

"D-Deimos. Si Xavier, a-alagaan niyo ni Xavier ang isa't isa," his mother uttered, almost like a whisper. She's coughing so hard, catching her breath. Nahihirapan na itong huminga ngunit nasabi pa nito ang huling salita bago tuluyang maputol ang linya. "G-Ginger....."

Doon tuluyang gumuho ang mundo nilang magkapatid, na kahit nakaligtas sila mula sa trahedyang iyon, tila patuloy pa rin silang binabangungot ng kanilang nakaraan sa kasalukuyang panahon.
