FASTPITCH; Straykids X Reader

Walking around the crowded school halls trying to get to the cafeteria and sit down with your friends was all you were trying to do.
'Im straving, cant wait to eat.'
You push your way through some students and finally see the shining doors of the cafeteria, light radiating off of them. You push the doors open looking around for your group of friends. They seem to have yet sit at your designated table.
'Are they late??'

"Y/N OVER HERE!"
'No way..'

There they are, your friends sitting with the baseball team.. You are hesitant to go up and sit with them, not after yesterday. You see after yesterday they seem to have taken a liking to you, and praise you and your amazing pitching skills

'How can I go over there when they wont stop complementing me?.. It makes me nervous'

FLASHBACK;

"STRIKE!"

"WHAT NO WAY!!"

WOAHHH!!"

"She's really good right han?"

"Mhm!! That was a real fast throw."

Changbin had gotten a strike, how disappointed he was. He was sure he would've hit the ball charging at him, he just reacted to late.. OH and the speed on that was scary fast.. How does one achieve that speed?? Practice and practice.

Y/n has played sense she could walk, she started at t-ball, then to coach pitch, and next kid pitch. She's what you can call a D-1 player, never stops to improve. Her pitches might be really good but she didnt always have good pitches, she infact hated pitching at first. She couldn't seem to get the technique down and get the momentum going. She played every position but pitching, she refused to pitch until she was set up by her former coach back when she was in elementary starting travel ball, her coach wanted her to be the pitcher. Her coaches exact words were.
"I see your potential in pitch and see you going far, I talked to your parents and put you in training sessions with me. I hope to help you improve and be the best of the best!"
And just like her coach said, she did improve and in her opinion became the best of the best..

After the mini game they played with the boys they sat down and talked for a bit.. Well they talked about how y/n was really good at pitching..Seungmin was the first to speek up about it.

"Sooo.. how'd you get so good at pitching y/n"

"Oh I just go to the batting cages alot and take extra lessions to get better."
'Im not even at my prime.. and im still considered good?? Woahh.."

"YOURE AWSOME Y/N DO YOU PLAY TAVEL BALL TO??"
'Changbin sure is loud.."

"I do play travel ball.."

"Woww your so cool y/n."

"She's really good righttttt? She the best of the best right y/n~?"
'Please stop encouraging this hana..'

And thats how the rest of the conversation went, about how you first started and how good you are, completely getting you all fuzzy inside with all the compliments.

END OF FLASHBACKS

With a big sigh you make your way over to the table.

"Hey guys!"

"Hii y/nn!"

"Hellooo."

You sat down and took out your lunch, you sat there quietly eating your food when Leeknow asked a question you couldn't resist to comply to.

"Soo uhmm y/n, we heard you like going to batting cages in your free time.. so me and they boys are wondering if you can come join us tomorrow?"

"Like just me?.."
You turned to the girls questioning if their going to.

"Just you n/n, we're all busy tomorrow with school and exams."
'Just cherry..'
Turning your head back to the boys you gave them your response.

"mmmm, sure ill go with you guys."

"Great!, we'll pick you up tomorrow at noon!"

'Maybe it wont be so bad.. right??'
