The year was 1963 in Dallas, Texas.President John. F Kennedy was due to drive around the corner any second now as known assassin Five Hargreeves was on site meters away from where Kennedy was about to be shot.
He was sent out on two back to back jobs, both of them clashing together and him having to mesh them together to complete both.
His first one was to make sure that president Kennedy got killed to keep the time line running smoothly, and the second....well, he had to retrieve an asset.
"You perverted sicko!", the screams of a frustrated woman were heard as she yelled into the old man's ear for the thousandth time since he'd successfully restrained and detained her.
In what way you may ask, Five had decided that he'd no other choice but to handcuff himself to the asset, making sure she can't get away from him.
The reason he didn't just handcuff her hands together was because of his knowledge on her special abilities, the mind moving ones.
Then coming up with the smartest decision which was to handcuff himself to the, without prior knowledge, aggravatingly annoying asset.
"Uncuff me now you old fucker!", she continued to huff out to him, struggling to pull herself from the cuffs.
One might think that for a thirty year old woman that she'd be more composed.
But why don't you get kidnapped by an old man with a magic briefcase while he swings you back in time to make sure the president dies.
The whole time since he'd detained her to now, Five had not spoke a single word to her, only until her last comment which made him begin to mutter under his breath.
"Do you need some space?", she rhetorically asked her kidnapper, noticing his aggravated demeanor. "Me too! So if you could please uncuff me from your person i'll be on my merry way!"
She continued to try get under his skin, knowing it was getting to him as she successfully annoyed the man.
"Not happening", we're the first two legible words that Five shot out at her in a grumble, darting his eyes around the area nervously as he internally prepared himself for what he was about to do.
Break his contract with the commission.
And not only would he be leaving them high and dry as he dissapesred out of thin air, he also rebelled as he had no intentions of bringing the woman back, doubting he'd have a better chance of escaping if he did.
Hearing the cheers and chants from people as they called to their president, the woman frowned as she then turned to look at Five and see why he hadn't taken out anything to shoot Kennedy with yet.
Turning her gaze in the direction of the man only for her eyes to be blinded by a bright blue light, the light expanding to reveal an completely different area.
"What are you doing?", the woman now yelled to him, in utter disbelief at his actions, yet Five gave her no answers as he continued to open the portal.
On the other side of the portal you could see a group of middle aged people as they stared up in wonder, shock and hesitation at the portal.
Five had to pull her out of the way quickly as one of the people threw a fire extinguisher in through the portal, it flying through and nearly hitting them.
Having a hold on her arm, though not needing to with the handcuffs anyway, Five then pulled her along with him as he took tentative steps towards the portal.
"Why are we getting closer?", she panicked, beginning to try struggle against the man.
"You've no other choice", Five told her simply, continuing to pull her along.
"No! You cant make me", she huffed out, digging her feet into the ground, Five whipping around as he gripped her face in his hand and got up close to her face with his.
"Can't I", Five didn't say it like a question, he said it like a statement as he stared deep into her eyes, challenging her.
Not thinking clearly, only trying to get away from the vortex looking portal, she then attempted a risky move as she held her free hand up.
Twisting her fingers she was attempting to do anything to just get away, though it seemed Five had expected this from her.
Being quicker as he then wrapped his arm around her and dove towards the portal as it began to shrink, diving through with her in his arms.
Going through the two groaned as they felt their bodies shift and morph as they went through, not getting much time to process as they hit the ground...as Five hit the ground, she fell on top of him.
Feeling utterly exhausted, she didn't even try to get up as all the muscles in her body protested even opening her eyes.
Groaning even more as she felt Five shift from under her, crying out in pain as he threw her off of him as he stood up in a frazzled state, bringing her arm up with him.
Leaving her lying in a ball on the ground, hands clutching her head as she panted, her mind also frazzled but just taking longer to process the time traveling it's just done.
"Does anyone else see a little Number Five handcuffed to a young blonde girl, or is that just me?", an eccentric voice wowed.
The group of people looking at the sight of their long lost brother standing before them handcuffed to a girl who was shaking on the ground, her arm suspended in the air from where they were connected.
Looking down to the woman hugging herself on the ground that turns out to no longer be a woman but now a young teen and then down to himself and noticing his oversized suit.
Then looking back up to his family. "Shit", Five exclaimed, having botched the maths in his rush to get him and the girl through.
