Gwen Stacey is working with Doctor Curt Connors about the potential to regrow human limbs, to advance human genetics while also growing Curt's left arm back, he lost it during an accident, Gwen has asked but he doesn't really give her a straightforward answer, tonight however they've had a pretty big break in the project with merging Lizard DNA with Human, the right sequences were compatible with the other, if they can grow limbs then no man or women would ever have to live without a loss of limbs again.
The project is risky but if they do it right, OSCORP can break ground in Human Evolution, it's one of the reasons Gwen agreed to work permanently with the doctor, she got an Internship to work up close with Doctor Connor's, OSCORP paid for her to go to education and keep up her studies with Curt into this project, there's also another thing, outside of work, she has a boyfriend.
Gwen: Hey, Logan. I think I'm being followed...
Gwen's making her way home when she walked past a small group of guys, she can defend herself but not against 4 or 5 guys, so she called the only person she knows can help her, her boyfriend since High School, Logan Kenway, he might not be as smart as Gwen when it comes to science but he's better with his hands when it comes to building things.
Logan: Take two lefts and a right. I'll be there as soon as I can.
Gwen took a peak over her left shoulder as she hugged her arms close to her chest, she can't lie, she's a little scared, not badly but it's late, she should have left for work a long time ago but she stayed back to help the Doctor, she knew Logan will be working late anyway so she figured it wouldn't be a problem, these guys didn't agree and followed every move she made as Gwen followed Logan's instructions, taking two lefts and a right, the guys were still there, so Gwen started to run as fast as she could, it didn't take long for one of the guys to catch up to her, grabbing at her arm and pulling her back.
Gwen tried to fight them off, kicking him in the balls and hitting him with her bag, it worked enough on him but by that time, his friends had surrounded her, the only place she could go know was backwards down an alleyway, the guys seemed pretty happy with themselves as they backed her into a dead end.
Thug #1: Nowhere to run now, what do you say you hand over the bag and nobody get's hurt.
One of the guys walked towards her as he flipped out a switchblade, Gwen isn't going to get hurt over her bag so she held it out to him, seeing about 6 guys and maybe a girl, she can't tell, it's dark and she just used her bag to hit the guy with the knife, it was in the spur of the moment and she didn't really mean to do it.
Thug #1: Stupid bitch.
The guy held his face where she hit him, Gwen let out a cry when the guy went to attack her with the knife but nothing happened, all she heard was a little scuffle and she looked to see a web grab the knife and pull it from the guy, they all looked up just as Spider-Man dropped down into the ally, between Gwen and the robbers.
Spider-Man: Hey guys. Mind if I drop in?
Spider-Man wasn't really asking and just ducked under a punch, Gwen moved out the way when the guy threatening her with a knife hit the wall behind her, Gwen smiled while watching as Spider-Man leaped at another guy using his shoulders to push off him and two foot a guy, sending him crashing into a trashcan, leaving a dent behind.
Spider-Man: Seriously? Do we have to do this? It's bound to end the same way as last time.
While he spoke he knocked out two other guys, one with a spin kick and the other by webbing the wall and the guys back, making him be pulled into the brick wall, the guys still tried to hit Spider-Man but never even came close, Gwen continued to watch as one guy was left, he was about to run but Spider-Man shot a web to his back then pulled him, the guy screamed as he left the ground and ended up in a different trash can, Spider-Man webbed that one shut muffling the guys begs for him to be let out.
