The Titans at silently, exchanging occasional glances before Count Jadeite, the current Titans of Healing walked out of chambers. His eyes were fixated on the sky, letting out a sigh as his snow white and jade green speckled ears pinned back, his tail with a similar pattern swaying behind him. "Will she be alright, Jadeite?" Came the question from Emperor Painite, his golden eyes looking as if they were seething with all the brilliance of the sun. "She will be fine, Painite. I'm unsure of how this will affect our future though....yet another prophecy from the people of my Moon has come true. I'm afraid to say it but I believe soon I will receive one myself. My time as the Healing Titan is drawing to an end. I'm still shocked my the events of today." Jadeite sighed, slumping down on the couch as Obsidian, the Titan of Mind Control spoke, "We're barely into the month of Rosa and her Moon was almost destroyed today. So many deaths, so few that could even survive on the Moon now. I'm worried, what if the other Empires begin to see us as weak?" Obsidian sighed, his purple tinted black eyes wandering across the room. Sapphire, the Titan of Teleportation suddenly spoke, their voice tired and groggy as they looked up from their current invention. "Nonsense! Even if they saw us as weak, Painite is still in rule. No ruler would dare go against one of the Five Sacred Kings, no matter how human-brained they may be." They growled before continuing to tinker with their invention. Amethyst, the Titan of Light sighed, brushing his blonde hair out of his face as he stared at the sky. "Jadeite speaks the truth. More and more Jadeites have lost the touch of healing and have received prophecies that continue to come true. We must find have someone ready to take his place if he receives such a prophecy." His eyes, a brilliant purple, his pupils the same color as the sun, and in a similar shape to that of rural inscriptions into stone, wandering over the sky. "Tanzanite's people have yet to show signs of any strengthening power besides that of quick memorization of herbs and a natural knack for healing, I say she should take Jadeites place if he does." Garnet spoke, blowing a strand of her fiery red hair out of her face as her multicolored eye, a flame of red, orange, and yellow fixated on Jadeite, who had moved to stare out at stars as he stood on the balcony, as if wishing for answers to be revealed. "Jadeite, you good over there? You've been staring at the sky for a good five minutes.." Quartz, the Titan of Phantoms mumbled, his purple grey eyes watching the Titan as he floated in the air, a stuffed bunny and rather worn blanket clutched closely to his chest. Jadeite remained silent, watching the sky as a sudden flash struck through the sky, a sea of black and gold before eyes turned the jade green of his irises as he suddenly spoke, his voice sounding like a mix of two voices that neither were his own. "A moonless prince shall rise from the ashes and bring forth true freedom through blood and war..." the words spilled out as if a babbling brook. Then the silence fell again, Jadeites eyes returning to normal as he looked back at the others, nails digging slightly into the wall. "Oh Idocrases.....this is bad." Diamond mumbled, his black and blue eyes wandering over to the fireplace as he sighed. Emeralds leafy tail brushed against the ground as she wiped the dirt off her hands, looking at Opal who had been helping with Sapphire as all eyes fell onto Painite. "We won't fret for now. The moonless have long been extinct, I will continue to rule. Do not forget that each of us have been blessed with immortality. We will only die if we are chosen to die by the Idocrases, no use in worrying over a threat that may not show for centuries to come." He spoke, lifting his head as he began to exit the room, stopping momentarily to speak once again. "I will ask Eric to double the patrols for the time being, his retirement is tomorrow. I will not have him putting it off for a threat that may never come true. Maria will be knighted as the new Platinum Guard at dawn." He stated before leaving. They sat in silence, watching him leave before looking at one another. "He's afraid, isn't he? Maria is not the first born pup, she is first born female unto the Evergreen name. Rules will be changed because of this, Painite will fall, sooner or later." Came the exhausted and raspy, yet soft and motherly voice of Rosa as she walked into the room, hugging herself silently as she stared at the floor. "He is. Time will only tell. Changes have already occurred, I am now the Titan of Prophecy. Tanzanite will be taking my place, she already shows great promise." With that the Titans parted, eachother silent and wary of what was to come.
