This is just me manifesting for my own love life, honestly.

Narrator's POV

"What do you think of this one?"

Reneé turned around and saw her girlfriend holding up a T-shirt with a naked, hairy, male beer belly print on it. It was about the most hideous, gag-inducing shirt she's ever seen. She pushed the shirt away from her vision field and saw the Y/E/C-eyed girl looking at her with that stupid proud smirk. "It looks amazing, you should definitely get it," she said sarcastically, though she couldn't help the grin on her face too. She continued looking through the racks of clothing and plucked one out. "Now this, this is the one." It was a bright green sweater that said said 'Too sussy for skool' with an Among Us character.

Y/N closed her eyes and pretended she didn't see that. She picked another T-shirt out of the bunch instead. "I'll protect you kitten, no matter what," Reneé read from the shirt, a pensive look on her face. There was also a werewolf meme printed on it. "This goes kinda hard, not gonna lie."

Y/N crunched her face up in distaste, cringing visibly. "Please don't go near me if you were to wear that."

"Aw, but you are my kitten," Reneé countered playfully with a pout.

Y/N turned away from her to skip the other racks of clothing. "Fuck off." Reneé was quick to chase after her and wrapped her arms around her from behind. The couple continued to stroll through TK Maxx, showing each other the ugliest items they could find in the shop, giggling and teasing each other through it all. Reneé was off today after weeks of busy working on her album. Their initial plan was to stay in, they soon realised that they didn't have much food left in their kitchen so they went grocery shopping. This certainly wasn't a supermarket, but they got heavily distracted.

Reneé found a big beach hat and plopped it on top of the Y/E/C-eyed girl's hat. The brim of the hat was big enough to flop down and cover half of her face. She looked at her girlfriend, unimpressed, before breaking character and chuckling. "How do I look?" she asked.

The blonde scratched her chin, as if thinking deeply about it. "Hmm, I think I need to find a bigger one," she concluded. "I think so too, yeah," Y/N agreed, playing along. Reneé looked at her lovingly, even with this gigantic sun hat, the Y/E/C-eyed girl looked utterly adorable. She adjusted the hat a bit better, her hand lingering on the strands of Y/H/C-coloured hair peeking underneath. "Your hair's getting so long."

"I know, I'll probably go to a barber soon."

"I can cut it for you?" Reneé offered.

Y/N looked at her unsurely. "Babe, I love you but I don't know if I trust you with a pair of scissors near my face."

"Excuse you, me and scissors are like the best combination ever known to mankind. I'm really good with them." Reneé stayed staring at her, a mischievous glint in her eyes and a hint of a smirk tugging on her lips, patiently waiting for the joke to fall.

It took Y/N a second to get it. She pushed Reneé's face away from her and chuckled. "No."

"No?" Reneé repeated, gasping. She tackled the Y/E/C-eyed girl in a side hug, tickling her. Y/N fell into a fit of giggles and tried to escape from her, to no avail. Reneé buried her face in her girlfriend's neck, holding her close. "What is it that you were saying, baby?" she asked again, teasingly.

"I mean, I'm more of a visual learner, so."

"Oh really?" her voice rasped out in a sexy way. Before Y/N could reply, Reneé picked her up and carried her towards the exit. "We're in public, you idiot!" Y/N squealed, laughing. Reneé chuckled at how tightly the Y/E/C-eyed girl was holding onto her, scared of being dropped, and carefully placed her down again. "Let's go home, I have a lot in store for you," the blonde said with a playful wink.
