This will make very little sense, but just tag along for the ride. That's all for the description.

Narrator's POV

Y/N closed her eyes and took a deep breath to breathe in the fresh air of Vermont. Essex College was supposed to be her new start, it certainly was far enough away from Illinois. She didn't even wanna think about the mess that happened at North Shore anymore. She didn't have to, that was the great thing about it. No one from her high school was going to this college.

Her peace soon got disturbed as someone crashed hard into her from behind. "Dude, don't randomly stop in the middle of the path."

That voice. Y/N felt too scared to even turn around. Did she jinx it for herself that quickly? Slowly, she turned around and was face to face with the girl who just ran into her.

It was the same girl she had tried to desperately run away from.

"Regina?! What are you doing here?" she yelped out. As dramatic as it was, she actually felt her world shatter. It wasn't that she hated Regina George per se... they had a love-hate relationship, literally. They would fight constantly and then fuck like bunnies five seconds later. I guess one could say that that wasn't exactly a healthy relationship.

It had only been two months since she's last seen her, but fuck, she really looked different than how Y/N remembered her. She looked... even richer, and weirdly elegant.

The blonde shot her a weird look. "Well, I don't know who Regina is nor do I know you. You're just standing in my way."

"Right, sorry." Y/N watched as the Regina look-alike walked away nonchalantly. They were like an exact copy of each other though, how could it not be her? Wait, she could've at least asked for her name. Shit. She turned around and looked across the quad, but she had already lost sight of her. There was also another crazy explanation, maybe it really was Regina but she was just pretending. It wouldn't make sense though, but she wouldn't exempt her ex from doing any weird shits.

She continued to walk again, having completely forgotten where she was heading. Wait! She checked the time on her phone. The screen read 2:08 PM. She got so distracted that she was late on her first day of classes.

The rest of the day honestly just dragged on. She met some new people, took some notes, tried the cafeteria on campus, and now she was stuck in the library, making a poor attempt at finishing her reading for the next lecture.

Life was too hectic when she had a love life but now it also felt boring without one. She toyed with her phone for a second before unlocking it, pushing her textbooks aside without a second glance. She was in a new city, she could meet new people in the organic way but, well, she didn't like randomly approaching strangers in public. Besides, she was curious to see what the dating app looked like at Essex and what kinda people were on it.

One profile after the other. No one was really picking her interest. She liked a couple of people but eh. Meh.

Leighton, less than a kilometre away

Her eyes almost bulged out of its sockets the second she saw that face. It was Regina, but it wasn't Regina. She knew her ex well enough to know how she took her selfies, and this was a different person. Technically, she already kind of established that it wasn't her this morning. But that didn't change the fact that this was her doppelganger though. A literal copy and paste of her face. Her long lost twin. It felt trippy. She hesitated for a second but swiped right anyway. She's got nothing to lose.

A minute later, her phone buzzed with a new match.

[10:18 PM] Leighton: You're the girl from this morning
