"Are you ready for today little listener?" Mr. Yamada leads me to the table we always sit at.

"Do we have to do all that school work again?" I really hate school. I like fighting, not sitting down and learning.

"It's only for 2 hours. Y'know, some kids go to school all day."

"That sounds awful. My Aunt Mito homeschooled me, so I never really had to go to a school. It'd be fun though. Aren't there other people my age at school? Imagine how many people I'd get to meet. Do you think they'd be strong?" Mr. Yamada gives an uncomfortable laugh.

"I'm not sure if they'd be strong. Anyways..." Mr. Yamada pulls out the packets that he had me working on yesterday. "Let's get started on these." I glare at the packets. They were the only thing keeping me from the gym place that we went to yesterday. Mr. Yamada let me run around and train in the gym, and today a 3rd year hero student is going to fight me! I'm so excited.

Once we finished working through the packet, we had to move on to who certain heroes were. I'm not really sure why I have to memorize all of this, but Mr. Yamada said that it will be important, and he knows this world better than I do. "Can we go to the gym yet?" I swing my legs. I'm so excited.

"After school, Mirio has classes all day too."

"Awwww." Mr. Yamada's phone rings, halting my whining. Mr. Yamada puts the phone to his ear, the muffled voice talking urgently.

"Hizashi, the USJ is under attack, your help is needed." The voice on the phone says. Mr. Yamada jumps out of his seat, walking out of the door.

"Stay here." Mr. Yamada locks the door behind him. I look at the door he just left out of. Did he really just leave me here? Alone? I haven't been by myself since I've started coming to UA. It must be super urgent if he left me here. I guess the person did say it was an attack...and I bet if it's an attack there are strong people there. A spark goes off in my brain. I have the best idea ever! I should go to this USJ place, so I can fight the people. I nod to myself. Surely this is the best idea in the whole world. I walk over to the door and wiggle the door knob. Locked. I look around the room, searching for other exits and narrowing my options for exits down to two. I could kick the door down, or jump out the window. I decided I would jump out the window. I punched the glass and carefully, to avoid the glass shards, jumped out the window. I enforced my legs with nen, and landed swiftly on the ground.

"Now how do I get to this USJ place?" It must be pretty far away because all I can smell is his trail of scent, and while that is ok, the city sometimes interferes with my ability to smell. It's harder to focus on one scent, but this is to fight, so I will have to try.

"I think I'm lost..." I look around the city, not recognizing any of the buildings. I've been trying to follow Aizawa's scent for about an hour now, but I think along the way I started following the scent of a different cat. I look up towards the sky, the sun creating a variety of colors fading together. I should find a place to sleep for the night. There aren't really any alleyways, and I can't see a hotel anywhere. Just then, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see a boy with green hair and eyes. I think he's one of Mr. Aizawa's students.

"Hey..." the boy pauses. "Gon was it?" I nod. "What are you doing out here all by yourself?" He asks.

"Oh, so Mr. Yamada left me alone, so I decided to go and look for Mr. Aizawa, but I got lost." I smile. The boy's eyes softened in sympathy. "What was your name again?"

"Oh, I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's not safe for you to be out here by yourself at night. Why don't you come with me to my apartment? There I can call the police for you. I'll make sure you make it back to Mr. Aizawa." Izuku puts a hand on my shoulder and leads me to his apartment.

"So you live here?" I slip my shoes off and sit down at a table in the kitchen. Izuku nods, taking out his phone and dialing someone.

"Are you home Izuku?" A woman's voice calls from a room over. Her voice got closer as the sentence went on. A woman with green hair walked into the kitchen; her eyes widening upon seeing me. "You didn't tell me you brought a guest." Izuku brought a finger to his lips, signaling us to be quiet. Shortly after, Izuku put the phone down and sat down at the table with me.

"I'm Gon Freecs!" I introduce myself to the lady. "I got lost, so Izuku brought me here so that I could go back to Mr. Aizawa."

"I just got off the phone with the police. They said a representative from the police station would come and take Gon to Mr. Aizawa." Izuku bit his lip and averted eye contact.

"I'm so glad you're okay, Izuku!" Inko wrapped her arms around Izuku.

"Oh, that's right. There was an attack. I wanted to come and help but I ended up just getting lost."

"You wanted to help?!" Izuku asked in a shock voice

"Mmmmmmm, well I wanted to fight the invaders, and I guess helping you guys would've been a bonus." Izuku sighs, and Izuku's mom decides to continue the conversation while making a snack for me and Izuku.

"So, Gon, where are you from?"

"I'm from Whale Island! It's pretty far away from here, across the dark continent."

"The dark continent?" Ms. Midoriya pats her hands on a nearby towel and then sets the plate of snacks in the center of the table.

"It's this really vast continent. I live on the other side of it. People here don't seem to know about it, just like the people in my land. I went through the dark continent to get stronger, and then I ended up here." I grab one of the snacks in front of me and bite into it. It is pretty good. Not as good as Aunt Mito's cooking, but it can be in second place.

"How old are you Gon?"

"I'm 13!"

"Oh? So why are you staying at UA?" Ms. Midoriya held her voice in a higher octave.

"Umm, well Mr. Aizawa's watching me, and I don't go to junior high because 'we don't want to wrap other people up in this business.'" I do the last part in air quotes. "I'm not really sure what it means though." Just then, a knock comes to the door. Ms. Midoriya opens it, and a police officer stands in the door. I went with the police officer to a hospital. Apparently, Mr. Aizawa got really hurt during the attack. If only I could've found my way there, then maybe he wouldn't have been hurt so bad.

Aizawa's POV

Replaying the events, only a few of the villains actually seem to hold a semblance of power. Most of the villains the students faced off against were low level thugs, nothing too dangerous, but the ones who stayed at the front...

They had power. The hand guy was oozing blood lust, and was out to kill. The portal guy was there, and finally...that kid. He didn't exit out of the main portal at the front, so he must've been dropped off elsewhere. Come to think of it, the hand guy was pretty mad about the kid not being at the front with him.

Flashback

"Where's that good for nothing kid? Didn't he say that he would help our mission!? If so, then why is he off wandering the place like it's a field trip?! It isn't fair!"

"Patience, you say the kids power. He will prove to be a valuable asset."

"Damn, I thought for sure that idiot would've gotten himself mixed up with this hero school." The kid's voice was muffled from the lollipop in his mouth. "What are we here for again?" The hand guy became infuriated, he started yelling saying that they were here to kill All Might and how dare he forget the very crux of this mission. "Oh yah, must've slipped my mind." The boy shrugged, clearly teasing the hand guy.

"Whatever." The hand guy huffed. "Just do your job and all will be well."

"Yah, yah, I hear ya."

The kid looked no older than Gon. How did he get mixed up with a group such as the League of Villains?

"Somethin' on your mind Shota?" Yamada asked. I nod. He should know what happened.
