"During the attack, there was a kid there." I start. Hizashi looked at me. His eyebrows knitted in worry. He nodded at me to continue. "He was no older than Gon, but..." I clench my fists. I would be absolutely powerless if I had to face him.
Flashback
"Wow, the Nomu really did a number on ya." The kid crouched down, looking at me with a sadistic gleam in his eyes. I feel the Nomu lift my head off the ground to slam it down again, but the kid stops my head from falling back down to earth. A crunch followed, and the Nomu loosened his grip. The kid stood up, looking disappointed. "Hey, hand guy!" The kid calls out. "I thought you said this Nomu was strong?"
"What the hell are you saying!?" This Nomu is strong enough to beat All Might when he was in his prime. At least that's what the hand guy said.
"Heh? Your meaning to tell me that the strongest person here isn't even that strong? Please, I could've killed this All Might fellow when I was 4."
Present
Normally a claim like that holds no face, something only cocky villains say, but how he said it was different. I mean, he broke Nomu's bone with a simple squeeze. Could All Might have done that? "I don't think I could've won against him." Hizashi lets out an audible gulp. "I didn't get to see him in action, but I could tell by the way he carried himself, the aura he gave off, everything about him screamed that he was strong, and he knows that he's strong."
"Did you catch his name?" I shake my head. I only have a description of him. Everyone just addressed the kid as kid. Maybe they don't even know his name.
"He had white hair and blue eyes. His skin was pale. Everyone just called him kid."
"Do you think he's connected to Gon?"
"Nonsense. Gon doesn't seem like the type to get himself wrapped up with someone so malicious." But then again, Gon doesn't seem to care about status. He talks to everyone as if they are equal in all terms. I sharp pain shoots through my head. My hands instinctively go up and cradle my head. "Agh, all this thinking is giving me a headache."
Knock, knock, knock
"Come in." Hizashi calls out for me.
"Hi, Mr. Yamada!" Gon waves towards Hizashi. "I had so much fun with my new friend Izuku. We even made Mr. Aizawa get well soon cards." Gon hands me two cards, one addressed from himself and the other addressed from Izuku. A feeling of warmth filled me with the sentiment. "Do you like them?" Gon cocks his head to the side, honey brown eyes scanning my face for a reaction.
"It's very nice of you to make me some cards." I answer. He nodded with satisfaction... Wait... Why was he with Midoriya? Midoriya was at USJ, right?
"Izuku was super nice when I got lost, and he found me. He brought me back to his apartment, and he let me stay there while the police came to bring me here. Ms. Midoriya made us snacks, and I and Izuku made you a card." The feeling of warmth was quickly diminished as Gon told me what happened. Why would he leave the safety of UA while an attack was going?
"Didn't I tell you to stay put?" Hizashi stood up, his hands on his hips. Gon turns toward him, a confused look quickly turning to a bright smile.
"You did, but what's the fun in that? I wanted some action!" Gon smiles.
"That's dangerous Gon. You can't go around and insert yourself into fights." I add my input.
"Hmmmm..." Gon ponders my statement for a few seconds. "I don't think it's that bad. I think it would've been a win-win situation. I would've gotten to fight, and you wouldn't have gotten hurt." He's so sure of himself. I don't think any amount of scolding could keep him at bay. How did his Aunt put up with this?
