《Two Days Later》
~Dia~
"What do you mean you don't know where she's gone to? You're her roomate for crying out loud." Mr Lipa reprimanded.
"Yeah i know she's way older than you, but i thought you would do me that favor on keeping an eye on her for me, but you couldn't!" He yelled.
I tried opening my mouth to defend myself but he continued saying "In the whole school, you were the only one I trusted to be around her because you're a very good student, and you seem very calm and unproblematic. I thought you sharing a room with her was going to be a good influence on her. But you broke my trust by not keeping an eye on her for me."
I feel really bad. The principal's tone sounded broken and defeated. He looked really sad. I never knew he loved his daughter that much. Dua really needs to see this. She needs to see and understand how deep her father's love is for her. He only wants the best for his girl.
This whole thing happened because of me. From the evening we got into that stupid fight and i told her to leave me alone, she took it way too seriously and left me. Her stuffs are here but she's not. She gone for almost three days now and I'm missing her so fucking much.
Her dad and i has tried calling and texting her but whenever we call, her phone's switched off. And she also hasn't replied to any of our texts. The whole situation is scaring the life out of me. I keep wishing and praying that she's safe wherever she is.
"I'm sorry i yelled Ms Aaron, I know my daughter is a handful and full of problems. She's been like that since she was a kid. I know you're too young to keep an eye on someone as rebellious as Dua, even her mother couldn't. And that's why I brought her here under heavy threats, else she wouldn't have come." Mr Lipa started explaining, staring into nothing in particular.
I sat on the chair opposite to him and gave him a listening ear. "I threatened to cease her car and block her credit card from all access if she refuses to come back to school. She's my first child and i had great plans for her. But unfortunately she didn't see things the way i saw them." He smiled a little.
"Since Dua was just a baby, she hated school. Whenever she goes to school, it's always been one complaint after the other from teachers and parents. But that didn't stop me from spoiling her and giving her whatever she wanted because i thought by doing so she was gonna change, but she only kept getting worse as the days goes by."
His eyes showed pure pain and sadness, but he keeps trying hard to hide it away from me. "At only fourteen years of age, we found out our babygirl has started smoking. At sixteen she dropped out from highschool, she stopped going just like that.
One night, she gathered the whole family in the living room and revealed to us how she wanted to start modelling. When we rejected her choice of career, she ran away from home and went to live with her friends.
But that didn't stop us from sending money for her and giving her what she needed because she remains our child and we love her a whole bunch. Sometimes she comes home and leave again. We just let live her life and do her thing cause that's what she wanted after all, her job wasn't doing well. She was just posing for small brands and getting small money.
People were telling her that if she wanted to make it big in the industry, she has to pose either naked or half naked. I never thought she would go that far to posing half naked or naked, but she did." Mr Lipa's tone changed into an venomous one.
Damn he's really angry.
"She went ahead and posed for some magazine cover half naked and that was when people were starting to know about her. She was getting popular and famous just for posing with barely any clothes on.
Her mom and i couldn't take it so we set up this plan to bring her back to school, by blocking her card and ceasing her car. That's why she's here though it's pretty evident she doesn't wanna be here. She's in school because she has no choice at all."
Mr Lipa slightly laughed and i couldn't help but also laugh. The fact that Dua really hate school to this extent made me laugh more.
"I don't know why I even told you all this, but i feel like you need to know since you and her both share the same room and she's somehow your responsibility." I nod my head in agreement.
I stood up to leave and he said "Good talk Ms Aaron, please do not hesitate to let me know if she calls or replies to you." He smiled a bit, "I won't sir." I smiled back. "Also, I'm sorry again for yelling." He apologised again. He's so nice, I just don't know why Dua hates him so much. She's so lucky to have a dad like him. "It's alright sir, don't worry about it. Have a good day!" I said, "And you too!" He replied closing his office door.
I sigh, trying to text Dua again. I took out my phone from my back pocket and sent her a text wishing and hoping she'd reply.
Me:
Hope ur safe
I miss u 🥺It said delivered. And I let out a deep breath overthinking the part where I said I missed her. I shouldn't have said that. Fuck, why did I say that. I bit my inner lip feeling super nervous, and that's when my phone pinged.
Oh-
Dua:
fuck off"OH MY GOD, OH MY GODDD SHE REPLIED!!" I squealed, making the other students that were also going to their dorm rooms look at me crazy. Whatever, I was literally the happiest person on planet earth right now.
