Dear Diary,

It's been 16 hours since Lexi died and I've never felt more alone. Stefan let me stay at the Salvatore bording house, it's bigger than I expected. I haven't been able to break the news to Lee because I'm not sure how he'll take it since Lexi's all he had. Stefan suggested for me to go to school with him and Elena to take my mind off things but I doubt it will help. He's surprisingly more okay with this than I am and he's known Lexi for over 100 years. I don't have any idea how I'm going to move on from this. I've never thought about how my life would be without Lexi , she's just always been there. She watched me grow up and she's more like a mother figure rather than my bestfriend. All I know is that she was always there for me through everything and now she's gone. I keep thinking that maybe it's just some sick joke and maybe she will come back sometime soon.

As Aubree begins walking towards the kitchen she hears knocking coming from the front door. She answers it as no one else is home and gasps as she sees who it is , as she wasn't expecting them to be there.

'Aub, where is Lexi? She hasn't responded to any of my messages & neither have you. What's going on?' Lee asks in a distressed tone.

She stares at the ground not knowing what to do or say. She takes a deep breath and says 'Lexi's gone Lee'

'What do you mean she's gone?'

'She's dead, Damon staked her.' Aubree says looking down not ready to see his reaction yet.

Lee doesn't say anything , he just sits there in silence not knowing what to say or how to react.

'I'm sorry, I tried to save her but it was too late, I'm so sorry.' Aubree mutters beginning to break down.

'Hey it's not your fault.' He says trying to comfort her while processing what he's just been told.

As each day goes by Aubree misses Lexi more than ever. Having Lexi around was something she grew up with now shes got to live the rest of her life without her.

'It's time.' Stefan says while peering around the corner of Aubree's room shooting her a smile.

'Okay, isn't it strange that it's always the good people who loose their lives while the bad ones get to live perfectly with no consequences?.' Aubree questions as she turns to him.

'One day you'll get your justice, I promise even if I have to help you get it I'll do whatever it takes to see you happy after what I did to you.' Stefan replies as genuinely as possible but somehow it doesn't ease the burden in Aubree's forever racing mind.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!

Sorry was so short I've had like no motivation to write and I've been stuck on the same bits for ages.

I have so many ideas for this fic but it's just getting there that takes ages but hopefully I'll get the motivation to write more.

I need some unproblematic actors/actresses to recast/cast some characters but i don't want them if they are problematic.

Thank you for reading <3
