Today school sucked, it was boring. We got Clarie settled in again since she was just doing it in a separate building due to her being not with a clan. She did so amazing so far. She is in all my classes except for one, and that’s PE. Right now we’re in history, and I spaced out, so I didn’t hear anyone calling my name. That is until I got hit in the arm by Claire.
I snapped out of it, and I saw the teacher looking at us smirking. You see, she was my best friend's mother, so she knew I was daydreaming about Claire. She shook her head and told me to pay attention. I started paying attention and saw that even though I was spaced out, I was writing notes. Claire smiled and giggled. I started writing more notes even though it was about where werewolves came from, which I already knew.
Time skip to after history they are eating Lunch-
We’re sitting at the lunch table, and I am about to introduce Claire to my friends when the most annoying girl comes to the table. Betty Lawson, she is unfortunately, was my ex when I was 15. I rolled my eyes, and so did my best friend/beta Avery. He can be annoying but he is my best friend. She made a mistake and put her hand on mine and started touching me, and I was moving her away when she spoke up.
“So Siara, I heard you found your mate. Where is she shouldn’t she be here? I mean, I don’t see her, so she must not be important to you for her to not be here”- She said
She put her hand back on my shoulder and batted her eyelashes. Just then, I heard a throat clear, and I knew this was about to be a big deal. Claire stood up and opened her beautiful and sexy mouth. Wait, Siara, focus on not thinking about her lips right now when you’re gonna have to stop this if it gets out of hand. Before I could say anything back to her, Claire said something I knew would start something, I could see Betty’s little “friends” with her.
“I am her mate, so back up”- Claire said
Betty looked at her and started laughing at her, and so did her little friends. I stood up and grabbed Claire's hand tightly before I could do anything. Betty did the worst thing she could ever do. She slapped Claire. I started getting mad, so I pushed Claire behind me.
“Keep your dirty little hands off my mate Betty in fact stay away from me and my family and friends.”-I yelled
She just looked at me like I was crazy
“But baby, there is no way she could be your mate she is a human, and you need someone powerful.”-Betty said
I started laughing, and so did my whole pack along with teachers who were in my pack. She looked at everyone confused. Claire spoke up after she calmed down.
“Oh that’s where you’re wrong. I am a vampire/human. My family was killed, so I lost touch with my vampire until recently. Now sweety I would get away from me and my family”-Claire said
I smiled at her but saw her red eyes were showing, and I knew what was happening when I heard growls by unmated males who smelled it. My beta looked at me and nodded. I grabbed Claire by the hand, picked her up bridal style, and left the lunch room. I ran into the office and straight into the principal's office. Looked at my mom’s sister’s wife and told her I was leaving and asked my parents to get everyone out of the pack house for a few days.
