Summer Comes Home

It was early in the morning, I woke up to Becky and Ava going into the bathroom to shower. I looked over at Claire and she was knocked out. I looked at the clock and it read 9:30 am. I got up, went to the guest bathroom and jumped into the shower real quick and did everything I had to do even shaved. I got out and dressed and went downstairs to make breakfast. While I was making breakfast, Claire came down and wrapped her arms around me. I told her to go shower and to tell Becky and Ava to stay in the bedroom. I looked at the clock. Summer got an early flight back and wanted to surprise the girls but she needed my help pulling everything off. I put everything on a plate and a table. Summer came in and gave me a kiss before helping me put the drinks and stuff on the table. I walked up the stairs and opened the door to see all the girls on the bed watching some tv.

“Hey baby who’s this for”-Becky asked

“All of you and I have one more surprise”-I said 

“Can it wait until Summer gets here we still have 10 hours until she gets here”-Ava asked

“Okay but here I come make room”-I said 

As soon as I said that Summer came around the corner and smiled at all of us. The girls got up so quickly, smiling, hugging and kissing her. She hugged them all and gave everyone a kiss. Ava came up to me and hugged me. That's the most she’s done with me since Summer left.  Afterwards, they all ate and spent time with Summer. A little while after everyone settled down I was outside smoking some weed and having a little bit of alcohol. Claire came out and screamed at me but before she could say anything too loud so I covered her mouth. 

“What are you doing out here?”-I asked 

 “What are you doing smoking and drinking?”-Claire asked.

I ignored her question and told her to go back inside. I'll be there when I’m done. I grabbed my journal and started writing about how I was feeling and thinking. I didn’t realize Summer was behind me reading over my shoulder. My mom came out and saw me but she saw Summer and didn’t say anything. 

“Hey love bug what’s going on you haven’t done this in awhile”-Mama said 

“Idk mama I just feel so worthless right now I mean ever since Summer’s been gone the girls have stuck together and Claire even wasn’t by me all the time like usually.”-I said 

“Oh my baby why didn’t you come to me about this before it got like this love”-Mama said 

“Mama I always come to you when I get like this I just hate bothering you plus you and mom have seemed really busy lately”-I replied 

Me and mama burst out laughing because she knew what I was talking about when I said ‘busy’. My other mom came out and looked at me and gave me a sad face when she realized what I was doing. 

“Oh my baby what’s wrong you haven’t done this stuff in months”-Mom said 

“She's overwhelmed and since Summer has been gone the girls won’t spend any time with each other or her. Claire isn’t even wanting to spend time with her”-Mama said 

“Is this true sweetie”-Mom asked

I just nodded my head and then heard a cough by the door. All of the girls were at the door looking at me with sad faces. I tried to put on a smile for them but I just couldn’t 

“Can we have Siara for a little bit we’re gonna go to this lake by my parents house since they aren’t here they’re in France”-Summer asked 

My moms nodded their heads and left us alone. I just started to get another hit of what I was smoking but was stopped by Summer. She looked at me with a worried face before she took a hit. I warned her not to because she wouldn’t like what it was. As soon as she realized what it was she got angry. Before she could say anything I got up and drank my drink putting everything down after.
