Background: Koichi Kurokawa is the next Kamen Rider Gills and successor of Ryo Ashihara but also A.R version of Ryo Ashihara. He is a childhood friend of Fukiyose Seiri when they were kids, and Koichi told Fukiyose that one day he become the best swimmer. Later he join the Swimmer club with his coach named Tachibana who teach him... One day, Koichi headed back to his home and suddenly he got killed by a truck. He was revived thanks to the Overlord of Light and Koichi woke up but the cost was that his leg couldn't move. This shocks Koichi as he can't swim anymore and feels depressed until a Lord attacks Koichi. Suddenly Koichi transform into Kamen Rider Gills as he roar in anger and kill the Lord. He was shocked and scared before running away and feeling his leg was restored, he met Fukiyose again and didn't want her to worry then suddenly Lord appeared until Agito saved Koichi. Suddenly Koichi feels angry and transforms into Gills before attacking Lord and Agito until Agito knocks him out and carries him before Fukiyose tries to after him. Later Koichi woke up and saw Hikaru Hikaru told Koichi that he was a Kamen Rider Gills which confused what is Kamen Rider. Hikaru decides to teach Koichi and control his anger.
