Together even in pain

Three months of happiness. That's what they got. Three months of planning. Three months of the most beautiful stares from his husband when he thought Sky isn't see it. Three months of vomiting and craving for strange food combinations. Three months of congratulations. It all ended in an hour. Sky still blame himself. Maybe he did something that harmed the baby. Maybe he did something wrong. Male pregnancies are always dangerous but there are a bunch of male omegas who gave birth even more than one baby, so why he? Why did his baby die? Why couldn't he carry this tiny pup till the end? Is he too weak? Was it the past abuse of Gun? He asked his doctor how can it affect his chances to have a baby and the doctor told him that his body recovered fully. So why? This is the only thing he can ask, why??

Prapai found his lover the same state again, didn't touch the food or move from their bed at all. Laying on the bed like a doll. The last week physically and mentally worn both of them out. But he knows that Sky still blames himself. He is so lost. He never met this kind of situation before. He always know what to do, but this is something he never experienced before and he also need time to process it. He never been this helpless, this powerless. He also know that Sky needs him the most now. But he isn't show any reaction to anything. He stopped speaking, eating, moving. What scared Pai the most that Sky stopped crying too.

It happened so fast. Last week he was coming home after a very tiring day from work. He was holding the food Sky was texted him that he is craving and a bouquet of sunflowers in the other hand. He stepped into their home, put everything on the kitchen table and searched for his lover. He petrified when he saw Sky lying in a pool of his own blood, unconscious on a floor of the bathroom. He immediately called the ambulance and run there to hold Sky until they arrive. He was afraid of losing both of them. He still see it again and again when he close his eyes.

The doctor said it was a miscarriage and no one is in fault. They still can have another child later but Sky needs time to recover physically and mentally too. They both have to accept what happened and find a way to cope with it.

He has to be strong because of Sky, he can't be a burden now because he know that it's harder to Sky. He swipe down his tears and sit on the bed next to Sky. Caressing his face and gently tells him that he has to eat. Sky still doesn't show any reaction. It breaks his heart more everyday to see the love of his life this broken. Worse than he was after what happened with Gun in the condo. He tried everything but nothing helped Sky. He stand up. He is tired, not just physically but mentally too. He doesn't want to leave Sky alone this state but he really need to do something with his own pain before he explodes. He reached his limit.

Hours later Sky got back to reality. The house is so dark. Why is it so dark? Prapai doesn't let him lay in the dark these days. It is so strange that Prapai let him be alone this long, to let him alone in the dark room. He went out of their bedroom first time after got home from the hospital. He needs Prapai so bad now. Where is he? Did he left him too? He can't live without him, he can't lose him too. Where is his phone, he has to call him. His hands are shaking so much because he barely ate and also panicking so much. He run to the front door when he hear it opening.

Pai stumbled into the house, tipsy. He thought he was hallucinating when Sky hugged him like his life depends on it. It sobered him up immediately.

"Never ever leave me alone without a word. I was so scared that you left me too." Sky couldn't help back his tears.

"Sky! My love! I will never leave you! You know that I will never leave you!" He pulled him even closer if it's possible.

"You left me alone! I... I was so afraid when I realised.." His grip on Pai's shirt was so strong that his fingers turned white.

"I left because you shut me out of your world completely Sky! I also need you! It hurts me too Sky! But it hurts me more to see you in that state, that you didn't eat, didn't speak, didn't move! I need you too Sky! Do you know how hard it was to me to see you shut me out? I can't survive this without you Sky! I can't!" Pai sobbed too. Sky realised that Pai hurts the same as him and they need to get through it together.

The ice break. They stepped on the very hard road of healing together. It was a tiny step, and they still have a long way till they can move on with their life without hurting every second, but they can do it. Together they can move on, move on but never forget that three wonderful months and that tiny life that got such a short time spending with them.
