Collins POV
----
Jack sighs and walks over to the table I'm sitting on, I jump off so he can get on. I dare not look him in the eyes again. He slides off his shoe and sock on his left foot so I can see his ankle."Where is it b-bothering you?" I manage to get out, still inspecting his ankle.
He points to where his ankle bone is. Can he not talk? Jesus. I sigh and grab the KT tape. I prep his ankle by rubbing some chemical on it so the tape sticks better then start taping. He winces as I tape because essentially the tape 'guides' the muscles in different directions so it doesn't hurt as much when the athlete plays.
"Does it feel okay?" I ask. Praise the Lord I didn't stutter that time.
"Yeah it feels fine." Jack looks around the room as he answers. Alrighty then.
Jack thanks Maddy and leaves. Maddy turns towards me noticing his weird attitude and shrugs. Why did he thank her?Maddy puts Vance down and he plays with his Spider-Man cars. She then walks over towards the table and sits on the end of one.
"Honestly" She starts, "Jack isn't the guy to normally do that. He is usually all over girls, especially new ones."
Addison chimes in, "Yeah he is a player, I don't know why he's acting the way he is with you."
Hmm, that's weird. He probably thinks I'm weird just because I'm so shy and stand-off-ish.
The rest of the class goes by fast and nobody else comes in. Next is lunch. Addison and I walk out to my car so I can grab my food. I hate putting it in my locker because my books will smell like my lunch. We walk back inside and I notice more people looking at me then whispering to their friends. A few boys shoot me smiles. Addison leads me into the cafeteria and we walk towards a table with 3 other girls.
"Collins, meet Alyssa, Nat, and Samantha." I smile and wave and they all say 'hey' and return the smiles. Alyssa is probably the tallest, she has to be at least 5'11. Nat and Samantha are about my height. They all start asking me questions on how my first day has been so far, and we all exchange numbers, instagrams and twitters.
"So Collins" Nat asks, "Have you seen any cute boys?"
I laugh. "I've seen a few" I take this as an opportunity to find more about Jack. "Just curious, but what do you know about that kid Jack?"
"Gilinski" Addison adds in. Nat looks around and leans in with the rest of the girls. They all giggle. They're so upbeat and energetic. I like it.
"He's a really big douche bag, but he has a way with the ladies. He throws some good parties too." Everyone at the table agrees. I tell them that he's been acting all weird towards me and they're just as confused as I am. Apparently he isn't acting like his usual playboy self.
After lunch ends the rest of my day goes by quickly. My next class was AP Physics and I had it with Nat and Samantha, then last class I had with Addison. Thankfully not Jack. But a couple of his friends were in my Physics class. After the bell rang for the end of the day I say goodbye to my new friends. Wait, I made friends. That was way easier than I thought. I head to my car in the now almost empty lot. I must have been with Addison and her friends a while... When I put my key in my car to start it nothing happened. I tried 3 more times and then I started to panic. Just when I was having a decently good day this happens.
I look around the parking lot for a teacher to help jump start my car.
Nobody.
Just as I'm about to give up a white mustang pulls around and stops. The mystery person rolls down the window revealing a smoking hot guy.
"Do you need me to jump start it?" He says and gestures towards my car. I have to be the luckiest person, to have this gorgeous man fix my car. After literally, 5 minutes I turn my key and my car roars to life.
"Thank you so m-much for fixing my car, I appreciate it" I look down at my shoes then up again, "I'm Collins by the way."
He smiles and takes off his sunglasses he had on.
"No problem, Collins." He returns. "My name's Cameron" with a smirk plastered on his face.
I thank him again and head out, when I'm stopped at the stop sign I look in my rear view mirror and see Jack parked in his spot that happens to be a few feet from where I'm stopped. He has his jaw clenched and looks at me. He looks angry, angrier than before. He looks infuriated, but once again I'm confused as to why.
I decide to not let Jack and his emotions ruin the rest of my day and speed out of the parking lot heading home.
----love yall
