Collins POV
----
The next morning I woke up with a massive stomach ache. I had way too much candy last night. I rolled over and checked my phone. It was 9:45 and I had a missed message from my parents and Jack.

My parents were looking at new granite for the counters or something, and Jack wanted to hangout. I called him instead of texting him back; it's just faster that way.

It rang twice then he picked up. " 'morning, how's your stomach ache?" He asked.

"It hurts like a- wait, how did you know my stomach hurts?" I replied slowly, "Because I have one too... Collins I think I am going to throw up I swear, I have to go!" I heard motion on the other line and I assumed that was him running to the bathroom.

"Be at my house in 40 minutes" He yelled out before I had the chance to object. I groaned at his demand and got out of bed. I showered quickly, then I headed to my closet and picked out some light washed boyfriend jeans with rips on the knees and a simple black and white striped long sleeved shirt. I threw on my black leather booties and a olive green jacket. I left my hair down straight and makeup simple.

I walked downstairs and made myself some pumpkin tea and some eggo waffles. Probably not the best choice of food, considering all the candy I had last night, but I didn't care. After I was done I put my dishes away and grabbed my phone and my black floppy hat. It was cool and cloudy outside, but still kind of bright.

I walked across the street to Jacks and he was waiting outside leaning against his car. He was wearing khaki jeans with his red Nebraska hoodie and vans.

"And so she lives!" he exclaims. "Yeah, well, I'm not the one who threw up my candy this morning" I say as I scoff. He looks at me and shakes his head and chuckles a bit. We're still standing outside by his jeep for a good 2 minutes before he tells me where we are going.

"Okay, I'm ready, now get it." He demands.
I look at him confused, then I laugh. "Jack why the hell did you just stand there all weird?". I keep laughing just because his face looked weird when he was staring off looking at a tree.

"Because, Collins" He started, "I am making sure today is perfect... I have everything all planned out". I smile to myself and get in his jeep. It smells like new leather and his Calvin Klein cologne he always wears. We drive for about 25 minutes until we are on the outskirts of town, and into the corn fields. All the corn stalks are tall and turning brown, perfect for a maze.

Sure enough, we pull into a gravel parking lot, with a old wooden sign that reads, 'Larry's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch'. I squeal in excitement and jump out of the car. There were quite a few other cars here because it was the weekend. I saw a few crazy lifted trucks that were all tricked out. I cringed because I am not a fan of those kinds of cars. I turned the other way I read another sign that explained how after dark the maze turns into a 'haunted maze'. It only lasts for a couple more nights because Halloween is over; same with the pumpkin patch.

Jack and I walk towards the massive pumpkin patch. The cool fall air blew my blonde hair around so I decided to put it up into a messy bun. I bent over and let my hair fall upside down and twisted it then wrapped it around so it looked like a donut. When I got back up Jack was staring at me like I was crazy.

"What, have you not ever seen how a bun is made?" I joke

"No I have, you just do it weird because you bend over. Doesn't it hurt your back?"

"Hey bud, sometimes beauty is pain."

"Yeah well, I'm not sure there is so much beauty in that." He points at my bun on top of my head and laughs.
