"You really on your shit, huh?"
"I didn't want to go there, but in typical Justin Legacy, Jr style, you don't know when to shut the hell up."
"Nah, it's cool. Talk your shit, but my contract-"
"Won't be renewed. That's Randy's word after your little meeting. You're too much of a liability, seemingly incapable of recovering to your full capacity. I've been deading that scoop in shark infested waters for weeks now. So, you see, even after you shit on me, I work for you. I have never stopped loving, caring, or rooting for you. And regardless of what you think of me, I've also made many more sacrifices to save this marriage than mistakes that could destroy it. Be angry and pissed off. You have that right. But I'm over you talking at me or down to me about that or any damn thing else."
"You're cheating and want to control how I handle it?"
"There's that one track mind. Look, I'm no longer involved with that person, and I live with the shame and guilt of what I've done every second of every day. I've been in counseling without you, worked hard to fix me, and I've grown to care for Jazmine, but enough is enough, Justin. I completely get your pain. I'll even do my best to answer your questions, but you will not talk shit to me because you don't like the answers you're given or how bad you feel. If you can't accept that, then we should stop the hemorrhaging and go our separate ways. But let's just be clear, that means that we both leave with everything the prenup says we should."
"It's that easy for you now, but you couldn't end this marriage before fucking me over."
"I chose to start that journey, and I regret it." She screamed. "How many more times do you need to hear that before you move on?"
"You know what, Bry, as many times as I ask. You're the one who fucked up, remember, but no big, right?"
"That's not what I said."
"That's damn sure how you sound."
"It was a mistake, Justin, and over before you even found out about it."
"Why'd you end it, then?"
"I didn't." She mumbled. "He did."
"You're fucking serious? He ended it, why? Who is this nigga?"
"I'm not answering that now or ever."
"And why the fuck not."
"Because he's not married to you, I am. Your problem should be with me, not the person I slept with."
"So, you're going to sit there, in my damn face and protect this motherfucker, for real?"
"I'm not protecting anyone. I'm merely choosing to keep the focus on the only two people who can resolve what happened between you and me, no more, no less."
"And if it were me? You'd be cool not knowing who I was with."
"No, I wouldn't."
"But you're going to sit there and act like I'm supposed to be."
"Justin, you might as well let it go. I've given the only answer you're going to get. And it's not on me that you're not willing to accept it."
"I can't deal with another hour of this bullshit." I opened my pill bottle, then tossed two more capsules into my mouth, frowning as I poured from the pitcher of mineral water next to me.
"Believe it or not, I'm not the bad guy."
"And you're no longer my wife." I turned my back, then reclined my seat for the remainder of the flight.
