Liam's P.O.V.

Great. This is just great. Startling the girl you like into falling off her treadmill is the perfect way to make a good relationship.

The girl you like. Am I admitting to have a crush on her? That's gotta be a first Liam.

My cool inner-self was trying to make jokes to dissolve some of that weariness I'd been feeling ever since she lost her conscience, because of my thoughtless actions.

Get over yourself, what are you trying to accomplish at this stage? I shot back at the side of me that was a façade for the public. An act I'd been keeping up ever since my dad signed that forsaken contract with the owner of this snobby place and had gotten richer beyond his wildest hopes. I know it's shameful to cover up your real personality like this, but we all want to fit in, don't we?

You've been pacing outside her room for the past twenty minutes, asking the nurse if you can come in every ten seconds - you care for this girl. For some odd reason you do. Don't deny yourself.

This statement was beyond true and shut the cool me up for good. Leaning against the dark, wooden door, I buried my face in my hands, shaking my head slowly. You moron, -I thought to myself-, who chats up a girl up whilst she's running and clearly not paying attention to you? You said yourself she seems different from the other girls, so why are you approaching her the same way you do the rest?

Well... I kinda assumed she was interested because she took the treadmill next to me and-

Don't assume things like that. Seriously, you need a sit-down with your ego.

Oh, and look who's talking. We are the same person. If I have ego issues, so do you.

Just then I heard the faintest sigh coming from within the room. I took my head out of my hands and looked around for any nurses. There were none. Taking the risk, I slowly opened the door to check if she was awake yet. I couldn't help smiling when I saw her sitting in amidst the plush bundle of brilliantly white bed-sheets - an angel among clouds. Hearing the door creak, she turned her emerald eyes to face me, her lips curving up into a gentle smile. Encouraged by her smile, I entered the room, gently closing the door behind me.

"I'm really terribly sorry about scaring you. You fell because of me." Mr.Hottie said with obvious guilt in his voice.

Yeah baby. And you're even making me fall now.

"Don't worry about it. I'm fine, no broken bones or anything. Honestly, it's not your fault - you don't know what kind of klutz I am. I put the klutz in... what was it again?" Oh god I did not just say that. He smirked at my utter fail of a joke, and then continued.

"But I did scare you. I should have waited to talk to you after you were finished with running. Thing is, I'm an impatient guy, so when I see a beautiful girl like you, I want to make sure I catch your attention before anyone else has the chance to."

I sat there in a complete daze, trying to process what had just been said to me.

The embodiment of perfection has just called me 'beautiful'!

Oh sweet lord Jesus Christ.

"Oh I - in that case um... what I want to say is- I just..." I just really need to get my act together here .My brain going in overload, I spewed out random words. I'd never been good at receiving compliment. I'd never gotten much practice.
