Wei Wuxian hadn't thought much when he fell into the darkness, the wind passing his robes as he fell so agonizingly long.

The cliff edge getting smaller and his body falling faster. The thoughts and imagines of faces he's seen look at him with such hate hurt him. He's been such a great person, helped people when they most needed it. Only to be stabbed in the back, mercilessly viled and stripped of lasting trust.

What a world he lived in. He tried to brighten it up, despite the life he lived, he tried to make the best of it. But, he just gave up when fingers and voices raged for him to be thrown over the edge of the Nightless Kingdom, right into the darkness and his impending death..ever so easily..

Wei Wuxian's eyes closed, a tear running down his eye as he saw the look in Lan Wangji's eyes. The way how he looked away ashamed of what he didn't do..

Did he not love me anymore..?

Was my life only a joke for him..?

Or was his heart truly as cold as they said it was...

It matter now. He just hoped that his death will bring back the normal. Even though deep down he wanted to call them all out. And damage the lives of those bastards of the Qishan Clan for blasphemy.

But why would it matter now...It happened.. Now all has to do was embrace that his life ends with that...nothing he could do again..

But just before his conscious can leave him, a ring of bells traveled through his ears and body. He slowly opened his eyes to see a silver white butterfly fluttering in his disoriented view.

A smile rose on his lips and he closed his eyes fully, letting his conscious slip with the last words passing his mind.

How beautiful..

The muffled voices filled the air around Wei Wuxian. He didn't think he was hearing right. At first he thought he was dead now and hearing the afterlife.

Instead he wasn't. But he kept quiet his body to weak and yet to wake up fully. He layed there and listened to those muffle voices talk.

"Your saying he is A-ying, my ying'er?"

A delicate voice asked, disbelief filling his voice. "He has the mark.." Another male with a deep voice but a liquid flowing tone spoke after. Wei Wuxian was very confused on what they were talking about.

"San Lang, he was lost. Our son was lost away and as powerful as we were, we never found him." The other's voice rose with a mess of emotions spilling out. He sounded as though he was getting emotional, a tearful wallow in his throat to shaked his words. "He can't.. He can't be.."

Then it was a silence, Wei Wuxian thought he might of lost his hearing now but it was so. A gasp soon followed a sorrowful whimper left one of their mouths.

"No...This.."

"It's the same one A-ying had. It's him Gege, it's him.."

The one called, 'Gege', seemed to have broken in a cry. Silently tearing up and sniffling. Feet walking his way and fingers touching his hair and forehead. For some reason he didn't flinch away.

In fact it was the opposite. His head moved into the touch and the sound of this 'gege' hurt his heart. His urge to erase those sad noises and sniffling from this unknown was high as the roof.

He felt those soft hands caress his cheek, rubbing it. "I..I thought I lost him..." He'd mumbled sadly, shaking his head and lowering it. "I thought I lost him forever but here he is...all grown up.."
