A timeless question haunts every soul,
Is love reserved for the beautiful whole?
Storybooks and folktales perpetuate the tale,
Of charming princes and princesses, flawless and hale. Why else do jewelry and beauty pageants reign?
Why do we covet beauty, and envy its domain?
In every corner, a misfit feels the sting,
Of not belonging, of not being beautiful's king.Myths and fairy tales reinforce this creed,
Love is for the beautiful, a exclusive deed.
But what of those who don't fit the mold?
Is love not for them, or do they grow old?Yet, love's true essence lies beyond the façade,
A connection deep, where beauty's not displayed.
One partner's gaze sees past the physical frame,
And finds the beauty in the other's heart's flame.Love is for the beautiful, not just in form,
But in the soul, where true beauty's born.
For those who see themselves as beautiful, too,
Find love's ecstasy, in a bond anew.
