29. Death

Soobin's PoV:

I had this strange feeling that we shouldn't be leaving this place, I was sure there was something in here.

As if to clarify my suspicions, y/n yelped as she fell into a hole in the floor we apparently hadn't noticed before, maybe because the whole place was covered in random stuff such as leaves,wood and so on.

"Y/N! QUICK GUYS WE NEED TO GET DOWN THERE!!" I yelled as I charged towards the opening.

Boom!
There was an explosion, and pain shot up my leg.
I buckled down in pain, my pants were soaked in blood, sweat trickled down my forehead, my ears ringed loudly.

More gunshots.

The others were firing at our enemies who barged in. Looking at it now, it was almost as if this whole attack was planned.
I NEED TO SAVE Y/N.

I had to use all of my strength to get up and resist the urge to just give up and wait for them to kill me. I needed to join the rest of the team! My friends need me.

I struggled as I charged forwards, towards our enemy.

One of them pounced at me with a pocket knife, but I broke his wrist.
Another came, and I flipped him over and threw punches on his face until he lost consciousness, then another tried to grapple me from behind, but I took out my own pocket knife and wounded him.

When all of them were either dead or too wounded to move, we were about to jump into the opening y/n disappeared into without second thoughts, but Hyunjin stopped us.

"Do you think he's gonna be alone down there? Of course he'll have back up! We need a plan, y/n might be hurt down there."

The thought made my heart clench. I can't let anything happen to y/n. I will never forgive myself if something happens to her, I can't fail to protect her. After all of this is over, I'm gonna ask her out.

"A few of us can wait here, and a few can go down there to get y/n back, surely it's not safe to fight underground, let's focus on taking the fight outdoors." I said.

"Great, Soobin, Me and Yeji can go down there while Yunjin, Yeonjun, Taehyun and Hyunjin can stay here." Beomgyu said.

"Done, let's go." Yeji said as she plunged into the opening, with the rest of us.

As soon as we dropped to the surface, we were surrounded with guns pointing at us.

A few meters away from us, we're y/n and her dad.
Blood flowed down y/n's nose. She looked pale.
Her father held a knife pressed at her throat.

"As expected, you came!" He sniggered. "Just surrender already, you are dead meat!You move, you die." He hissed.

"You wish." Yeji smirked. "If anyone is dying today, then it's you."

Then, so many things happened at once.
Y/n bit her dad's hand and his scream pierced my ear drums. Yeji sprung into action. She threw a smoke grenade and got into combat with the enemies. I soon overcame my shock and started fighting with the others too.

From the corner of my eye I saw y/n's dad trying to go up. Our plan was working.

He used a ladder, thankfully we'd be able to use it to come up too.
